STOCK TAKE BASIC - INTRODUCTION

Stock-taking is the physical verification of the quantities and
condition of items held in an inventory. Opticon Stock Take Basic
application provides a simple but effective solution to audit stock
levels.

1. SCAN ITEM
The Scan Barcode screen is ready to scan an item. Press the Scan/Enter button to activate the
barcode scanner.

If the user cannot scan the barcode there is an option to manually enter the barcode. Press
Fn2 (Type Code) on the Scan Barcode screen and enter the barcode, then press scan/enter.

2. ENTERING STOCK QUANTITY
Enter the stock quantity with the keypad. Any incorrect digits can be deleted by pressing the BS
button. Then press scan/enter to confirm the quantity and return to the Scan Barcode Screen to
scan the next item.

All scanned data is recorded on the Scans database (see 3. Databases).

3. DATABASES
The Scans database is downloaded in XLS or CSV format. Please refer to App Syncing
Software and Database Set Up guide for more detailed information.
Featured Databases
Scans: All scanned barcodes are recorded on the Scans database. This database includes
date/time stamp, barcode and quantity.
