William Shakespeare,
English Poet
and Playwright

William Shakespeare is currently one of the biggest names out there! His time training and his
personality mixed with his achievements are the reasons why his name is huge! As a young boy,
William Shakespeare went to a grammar school where he learned classical literature and Latin.
Sadly, he did not attend university, but he started acting. Shakespeare's plays showed knowledge in
various school subjects. He later became an actor in his early 20’s. William was known for being quiet
and mysterious. He also started writing which showed emotion and how deep life seemed to him.
However, some still say he had a sense of humor. That is only half the reason why he is so known. The
other half is because of his achievements and many talents. He is an amazing actor and a very
brilliant writer. He expressed his understandings of life through emotion in his plays and writings.
William wrote poems called sonnets and were usually about love. Yes, he was an amazing poet, but he
was even more popular for his plays. Some people say he may be working on a play called Romeo and

suicide, history, etc. His plays are realistic and almost relatable! Willam conveyed hatred, jealousy,
fear, ambition, love, and many other things in his projects. That’s why his plays and poems will never

and influenced many other writers. I mean who wouldn’t admire William Shakespeare’s work? He
also made a huge mark on the English Language. He made quotes of his own that spoke to our hearts

Miguel Cervantes,
Spanish Writer

Behold the great Miguel Cervantes! Miguel Cervantes is an
outstanding spanish writer whoś goal is to be able to change people
emotions by just reading his writing. Not much is known about his
Education. He may have studied along with priests that were
Influenced by humanism. At the age of 23, Miguel became a
Soldier and got shot twice in the chest area. Another injury was inflicted to his hand which made it impossible to move.
A few years after this disaster, he was enslaved by pirates and stayed enslaved in North Africa until his family
bought him out 5 years later. He was also once a suspect in a murder scene and imprisoned twice. Okay, now that we
are done with the a few of the challenges in his life, we can move on to his excellent writing. He has many plays, poems,
and novels, a lot of them have a certain style called satire, which is humor that attacks people or a group of people. Like
I said, he has many plays, poems, and novels, but one of his masterpieces, Don Quixote, a comic or novel was one of his
favorites. This comic is about a tall, skinny, elderly man that dresses up in a knight's suit of armor even though the
time of the knights has passed and runs around doing noble deeds. Someone that is always with him is pretty much
his opposite, Sancho Panza is a short stout farmer who rides a mule. To Don Quixote, Sancho is a faithful squire. That
is just the start of his comic though, together Don and Sancho have many adventures together. In the comics, his
imagination turns everything modern into everything into the time of the knights. For example, country inns turn into
castles and windmills into fearsome giants. In his comics, he fights of evil in a funny way. In Spain, Don Quixote is
very popular. According to King Philip III, there was a man reading Don Quixote that was laughing and crying at
the same time. And that concludes the adventures of Miguel cervantes and all of his amazing writing skills that travel
with him.

Elizabeth 1,
Queen of England

Have you ever wondered about the queen and what it’s like to be royalty? Well guess

what people? Today is your lucky day because here is an interview of the queen. Good morning
your royal highness. I’m just going to ask you a few questions about your life if you don’t mind for
my magazine. So when were you born? Well, I was born in the year of 1533, September 7th. Also my
parents are King Henry VIII and Queen Anne Boleyn. What about your parents. I heard they had a
bad relationship. That is none of your business. The nerve to ask me that question. I should have your
head for that. Umm...alrighty then. I won’t ask anything about your parents then. Ahh! Here’s a
good one. How did you become such an educated ruler? I was raised in a different household and
didn’t have any political distractions. I had the best of teachers. An English scholar taught me
everything I know and educated me as a possible monarch. I really benefited from that as you can see
since I am queen now. He said I was very gifted, so I was very highly educated and taught how to
speak Greek, Latin, French, and Italian. Very impressive my queen! Now how old were you exactly
when you became queen? I was 25 years old and am 55 now. Let me do the math...so I’ve been queen
for…20 years now. Also, I never married a man, but am married to the people of England. Why did
you never marry my queen, if I may ask ever so kindly. Now that question, I don’t mind answering. I
never married because I fear that a husband would take my power that is rightfully mine and take
over just like that. I earned this crown and throne by myself. Well, I was next in line, but I learned
and studied to become a great queen. And a great queen you have become. I think you made a wise

next question. How do you keep a kingdom in order by being flexible and fair at the same time? I’m a
very dedicated and attentive ruler. I can be very persuasive and make unpopular policies well,
popular. I consider myself very skill in politics by balancing the interests of different people in my
court. Also, I am very loyal to my subjects and love them very much. I would do anything for our
beautiful England. Very touching your majesty. Now what do you think of the nickname we gave you,
“Good Queen Bess”? At first, I really didn’t think much about it. But now, I really like it. It’s
growing on me. It makes me feel like the mother of England. I’m so glad you like it my queen. What
about...what are some of your greatest accomplishments? I’ve done many great things for England,
but there are some distinct ones that kind of stand out. I have been working very hard to strengthen our
economy and am encouraging a lot of trade and commerce. I have authorized English trading
companies in Africa,Asia, and the Americas. My funding of sea exploration has helped gain a
foothold in North America! Some of my people have complimented me and have said that culture
thrives under me. I love and support theater, fashion, literature, dance and education. Education is a
big thing especially in young women. Men shouldn’t be the only ones learning how to read and right.
Also, not everyone has the luxury of growing up as royalty and having private tutors. And, as you
may have known, I love poetry and playwrights. One of my favorite poets and playwrights is William
Shakespeare. I just adore it when he comes over and puts on plays for me and recites poetry that he
has just written. I welcome all types of artists, writers, dancers, musicians, and other cultural figures

interesting to know my queen. One last question. How is your business going for your boutique? It
hasn’t opened yet. Tomorrow is the grand opening! I’m so excited! It’s called Bess’s Boutique. Make
sure to come by tomorrow. My boutique sells all the latest fashions for men, women, and children.
That is splendid your Highness! I’ll make sure to stop by tomorrow for the grand opening. Thank you
for your time and for answering these questions for my magazine. You’re very welcome. Queen
Elizabeth l shows and portrays humanism by supporting and encouraging people to express their
feelings in fashion, literature, theater, dance, and education. She didn’t go by the church spoke her
mind. She was a natural leader on one of the most popular and successful monarchs in England.
