New Year, New goals

Dear Reader,
We are honored that you chose ARIS as your educational partner!
We are delighted to introduce this first edition of the ARIS newsletter which we intend to make it a
regular publication. We are glad to keep you in touch and engaged with our news and events. Welcome to
the new academic school year; and a special welcome to all new students, families, and staff members who
recently joined ARIS's family. Our main goal is to create a safe, positive, and professional environment for
learning, and to achieve our goals and vision together. We seek to inspire lifelong learners and to empower
our students with 21st-century skills in order to succeed in life, university, and career. Moreover, we focus
on education and character improvement at the same time in order to pave the road for our students to
become leaders and global citizens who are balanced, principled, knowledgeable, thinkers, open-minded,
risk-takers; who can create a better and more peaceful globe. Our constant aim is for our stakeholders to be
connected, valued, respected and to feel proud about their experience with ARIS.

As part of our elaborate plan for equipping our students with the

MEETING WITH DR. A. ALHAQBANY
Schools

Dr. Abdulrahman Alhaqbany, Chairman of Motaqademah Schools
Company, has held a meeting with Al Raed International School's
leaders, teachers, students, and graduates to discuss potential
opportunities for our school to be among the top 5 schools in Riyadh as a
short-term vision.

ORIENTATION DAY

Al Raed International Schools is keen to organize an orientation day
for the students at every year's first day of school. It helps them meet
their new teachers and new classmates. Our students always look
forward to celebrating that day. It also helps them understand the
rules and regulations of the school.

PARENTS' ORIENTATION

Al Raed International Schools is keen to organize an orientation day for
the parents at the beginning of every school year. It helps them meet
the teachers and understand the rules and regulations of the school. It
is a great communication method that helps exchange expertise and
remarks for any potential development. Our stakeholders always look
forward to celebrating that day.

FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL

A flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended
learning that reverses the traditional learning environment by
delivering instructional content. The time normally spent lecturing, is
used for in-class activities, discussions, problems, and group projects.
We are proud to encourage our students to create their own learning
opportunities. They make a recognizable part of teaching strategies
and the learning process.

ENGLISH SECTION

English Language is deemed to be the spine of Al Raed International School
maintaining "English Only Environment" throughout all times and
circumstances. School administration gives mighty care to keeping English
department improved and advanced.

Our English staff is highly trained and qualified. They are concerned with
updates and development. Our school works confidently to grant the world
better speakers. We are proud of our fluent teachers and students!

SCIENCE SECTION

Science is considered to be the practical extension of Al Raed International
Schools. School administration pays significant attention to keeping the
Science department and school laboratories improved and advanced.
Our Science staff is highly trained and qualified. They are concerned with
updates and development. Our school works confidently to grant the
world distinguished scientists.

DRAMA CLUB

Al Raed International Schools is honored to participate in the School
Cultural Festival for Child in Enaizah, Alqassim sponsored by Saudi
Ministry of Education.
Our school has won many theater and drama competition trophies against
participants from within the same company and others from all over
Saudi Arabia.

ROBOTICS CLUB

Al Raed International Schools is honored to participate in the global robot
competition sponsored by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and
Information Technology and directed by the World Robot Olympiad
Association.
Our school has always participated in similar  competitions with recorded
rankings. This is a dream coming true, thanks to our Robotics team!

MORALS CLUB

Moral values are important in a student's life because they help
determining good and bad deeds. They give a relieving overall feeling of
peace and joy. They also direct the behavior towards beneficial and
fulfilling activities. They build trust and positive bonds with others.
For those reasons and many others, Al Raed International Schools
prioritizes the efforts given. Our Morals club is based on values from
program Khawatir for Ahmad Al Shugairi and weekly Hadith  from
our Prophet Muhammad 'PBUH'.

Resurrection than good morals" Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

NATIONAL DAY

Al Raed International Schools celebrated Saudi Arabia's 89th National
Day to raise a sense of belonging. Our students organized a school party
that included activities and plays about Saudi Arabia's history showing
some of its culture and traditions.

Al Raed International Schools always gives great effort to make our
students knowledgeable and proud of their history.

SCHOOL TOURNAMENT

Al Raed International Schools usually organizes regular and occasional
football tournaments in which it competes against schools from inside
and outside the schools' company.Our school has won many sports
competition trophies.

WORLD TEACHER’S DAY

International Teachers Day is an international day held annually on
October 5, celebrating teachers' efforts all over the world.
Students of Al Raed International Schools made sure their teachers
were honored and appreciated through a lovely party organized with
trophies and gifts given to most of them.

not methods and techniques. The teacher is the heart of the educational system."

Al Raed International Schools prepare the students for the MAP tests.
Measure of Academic Progress is a computerized adaptive  test  which
helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all
students and make informed decisions to promote a child's academic
growth. MAP® Growth™ measures what students know and
informwhat they’re ready to learn next.  By dynamically adjusting to
each student’s responses, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment
experience that accurately measures performance. Timely, easy-to-use
reports help teachers teach, students learn, and administrators lead.

CLASS DOJO

Al Raed International Schools use ClassDojo. ClassDojo connects
teachers with students and parents to build amazing classroom
communities. ClassDojo is a classroom communication app used
to share reports between parents and teachers. It connects
parents and teachers on a student's conduct and performance
through real-time reports as well as a feed for photos and videos
during the school day. We encouge our parents to use classDojo
in order to keep them up to date on our students' progress.

PEARSON REALIZE

Al Raed International Schools provided free accounts for all our students
this year in order to get a unique digital learning experience. PEARSON
REALIZE™ is our newest learning management system that gives 'digital
natives' the learning experience that they have come to expect. It is the
online destination for standards-aligned content, flexible class
management tools, and embedded assessments that deliver rich data
instantly to teachers. PEARSON REALIZE provides premium content to
help teachers enhance their instructional materials and engage students.
Teachers can search by keyword or browse by standard to easily curate
their student's digital learning experience. PEARSON REALIZE also
delivers intuitive reports so teachers can use student mastery data to
target classroom teaching and develop curriculum.

COGNIA

Cognia  (Formerly AdvancED) is our “success”  partner. Cognia is a non-
profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site
reviews of a variety of educational institutions and systems to ensure
that all learners realize their full potential. AdvancED changed its name
to Cognia. AdvancED which was formed as a result of two leading
education nonprofits merging announced that it changed its corporate
name to Cognia™.As you may know, AdvancED and Measured Progress
merged in 2018. Cognia™ is adapted from the Latin word Cognitio, or
knowledge, the name speaks to our belief that knowledge is key to
reaching aspirations—no matter a person’s circumstances or
background. And as educators, the more knowledge we all have, the
more we can do for students.Cognia remains committed to assisting us
on our improvement journey, continuing to serve us through
accreditation, student assessments, STEM certification, consulting,
diagnostic services, and professional learning.

KAHOOT!

Our teachers use Kahoot in the classroom to create engagement and
active learning. Kahoot is a game-based learning platform, used as
educational technology in schools and other educational institutions. Its
learning games, "Kahoots", are multiple-choice quizzes that allow user
generation and can be accessed via a web browser or the Kahoot app.
