Membership Brochure Where Member Families and Their Guests Create Lasting Memories!

Greetings! My name is Cliff Mann, I am the President / CEO of High Point Country Club. Thank you for inquiring about membership in our beautiful club! We are excited to share the many benefits of joining our HPCC Family! After reading this brochure, I would encourage you to contact Jay Carmichael to set up a tour of our facilities. Jay serves as our Membership Director and Business Manager. She is a certified CPA so she is well versed in the numbers as well as the many exciting programs and amenities offered at our Club. E: [email protected] P: 336-889-0818 High Point Country Club is one of only a few dozen clubs in the country with two completely separate campuses. Our in-town campus, Emerywood, is our main social hub with large scale dining and event space. The traditional style clubhouse has over 40,000 sq. ft. of space and is designed to accommodate multiple events at one time. Our Ballroom provides up to 6,000 sq. ft of space and can seat 600 or more. Additional spaces include the Drawing Room, Commerce Lounge, Guilford Room, Private Dining Room, 1923 Bistro and Oak Bar Steakhouse. All of these spaces are available for meetings and wonderful dining experiences. Emerywood is also home to our nine-hole Donald Ross golf course, swimming complex, fitness & wellness center, three clay tennis courts, two hard courts, six pickleball courts, our main offices and an informal dining space called the Ross Grill which overlooks the golf course. The 1923 Bistro and The Ross Grill are certainly the places to be on a Friday night! A short 6-mile drive will take you out of town to our Willow Creek campus. Willow Creek is our main golf and tennis complex. The golf course designed by Willard Byrd is well known and ranked in the 40th best courses in NC. The course formerly hosted 10 LPGA Tour events and is the home of the annual National Senior Amateur Hall of Fame tournament. The course is fun to play and has challenged many excellent golfers over the years. Members of HPCC have included a Master’s Champion, a British Amateur Champion, a Champions Tour winner and multiple Walker Cup players. Our junior golf program has produced numerous outstanding collegiate golfers who have played for some of the country’s finest schools (Wake Forest University, University of Virginia and Georgetown University are recent examples). It is also the home course to High Point University Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. The beautiful stone clubhouse at Willow Creek is approximately 18,000 sq. ft. and houses our golf shop, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and dining room. Our main tennis complex offers six clay tennis courts and two indoor courts for year-round enjoyment. Our tennis instruction program is also highly regarded and can boast a former junior who recently ascended to the top 10 in the Men’s World ATP Rankings. Adjacent to the tennis complex is our fitness center. We pride ourselves on providing a wide variety of outstanding events throughout the year to satisfy our membership’s interest in dining, sports, family gatherings, holiday celebrations, business events and all kinds of special social functions. Welcome to High Point Country Club! Cliff Mann, CCM, CCE, PGA President/CEO

With its opening in 1923, High Point Country Club became the central gathering place for High Point’s civic and business leaders and a popular recreational and social destination. For generations, the elegant clubhouse and attentive staff have played host to countless meetings, parties and receptions; creating a multitude of lasting memories for so many families. Along with the dining and social calendar, the nine-hole golf course designed by Donald Ross was a main drawing card for the club. Over the years, new recreational amenities were added to serve the growing membership. Tennis courts, an Junior Olympic size swimming pool and a 4,000sq. ft. fitness and wellness center attend to the varied interests of members and their guests. In 2017, the Ross Grill & Patio was added to the Emerywood Campus. Members enjoy this casual sports bar atmosphere. In 2021, two hard surface tennis courts and six pickleball courts were added to the Emerywood facility. In addition, the Emerywood Grill was renovated to the Award Winning 1923 Bistro. 2023 marked the 100th anniversary of High Point Country Club! This year was packed with Capital Improvements: a new Golf & Racquets Pro Shop, a Covered Sports Pavilion, a major expansion of the fitness center to over 4,000 sq. ft. and the addition of a Golf Short Game Practice Facility. The outdoor dining terrace was also expanded to connect to the ballrooms. Club History Emerywood Clubhouse A desire for a full 18 holes of championship golf led to the acquisition of Willow Creek Golf Course, designed by prominent architect Willard C. Byrd and opened in 1964. Byrd’s portfolio includes more than 30 courses, such as the distinguished layouts at the Country Club of North Carolina and the Atlanta Country Club. His work at Willow Creek is regarded among his finest. Willow Creek has hosted a number of significant regional and national events including the N.C. Amateur, the annual Senior Hall of Fame Championship and, for ten years, the LPGA’s Henredon Classic. In 2012, Willow Creek Golf Course underwent a series of renovations including installing Champion Bermuda greens. Better-suited for the warm, humid summers, Champion has been a welcome addition to an already impressive golf facility. The main dining room at Willow Creek was renovated in 2023 and a fitness center was added to the campus. Willow Creek Clubhouse
