ENGINEERING
A warm and affectionate welcome from the Department Mechanical Engineering. at VITS College of Engg.
I feel ecstatic to introduce you to Department of Mechanical Engineering, which is the foundation of Engineers. Department of
Mechanical Engineering strives for increasing the knowledge, enhancing the critical thinking, ability to change information into knowl-
edge and power of analyzing the things technically of each and every individual of ever changing society
through students.
Mechanical Engineering happens to be the back bone of any industry with amazing versatility. The department
of Mechanical Engineering strives to train students in mechanical engineering science as well as application
of these scientific methods to conceive, organize and carry out scientific design of engineering systems. Our
primary goal is to train future leaders with high-quality engineering education. The aim of the department is
to disseminate knowledge and technologies through quality teaching, research and its applications in mechan-
ical and allied disciplines. In our creative curriculum, we strive to assimilate the latest developments in
mechanics, dynamics, thermo-fluids, energy conversion, design and manufacturing. Our Laboratories have Dr. P. Ramesh Babu
been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the
Professor
syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject. We have a team of dedicated and com-
petent faculty with research bent of mind, driving the department towards excellence in quality education, proj-
ect guidance, as well as R & D activities. We are able to organize seminars, workshops, faculty and staff development programmes
on wide-ranging topics every year. The department has very good industry-institute interaction and organizes technical talks and
industrial visits for students periodically to provide an opportunity for the students to interact with working professionals from indus-
try. We strive to ensure that all our young students have a strong education with leadership, management and teaming skills, intern-
ship experience, and involvement in student activities.

INSPIRATIVE EVENTS
ENTHRALLING COUNSELING FOR THE
YOUTH
by Dr. K.V.S.G. Murali Krishna
The one day marathon performance of Dr. Murali Krishna was highly inspiring, motivating and thought-pro-
voking…. Very articulate in English and Telugu, he used with perfect ease all the devices in his armory. Each photograph shown
by him in his power point presentation was highly stimulating and fascinating. He used mimicry and songs from the hallowed
thyagaraja to the latest Telugu movies to bring home his point effectively through peals of laughter from the young minds. Every
point was stressed through example, anecdote and smile drawn from sculptures.
He quoted from bhagavat gita, Koran and bible very appropriately keeping without highly acclaimed secular tradition.
Many topics on ability, creativity, team work, group discussion and facing interviews have been dealt with in a very lucid manner leav-
ing a great impact on the younger minds and the spellbound audience sat through as in a trance till the end.
Not a soul stirred from the seat and there was never a dull moment throughout.
The main thrust of the entire program was "HARD WORK".
He assured "you have every thin in you, realize it"
He said nationalism is an infantile disease.
