The Pasadena Youth Ambassador Program began in 2001
to provide job experience to high school students through
participation at special events held by both non-profit
and for-profit organizations in the City of Pasadena. The
Youth Ambassador Program provides students with the
opportunity to gain valuable skills by exposing them to
various experiences such as being docents, attending
conferences, planning events, and being a spokesperson
for the program. In addition, Ambassadors become city
employees and active members of the community.

Pasadena Youth Council provides youth ages 12 to 18
the opportunity to participate in the democratic process
through meaningful roles in public policy, planning and
decision-making, which can lead to improved outcomes
for youth and the community.

The After School Adventures Program is a socially active
experience that encourages students from Pre-K to 5th Grade
to be engaged and have fun!

Experienced city staff facilitate a fun, safe and inclusive
environment for recreational activities before and after
school. Our program includes homework assistance, physical
fitness activities, and enrichment opportunities that foster the
well-being and encourage creativity of all participants.
Participants in the After School Adventures Program have the

Senior Excursions
Join local seniors (50+) as they explore historical landmarks, museums, festivals and much more. All Senior Excursions
depart from Villa-Parke and Jackie Robinson Community Center. For your convenience, we have rated each field trip
on a 1-2-3 level scale with (1) representing little or no walking, (2) equaling moderate amount of walking and (3) being
quite a bit of walking. Seating is limited and available on a first-registered, first-served basis. You may register for the
excursions at one of our community centers or by visiting our website. Prices below include transportation on a luxury

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM - LEVEL 2

Explore the Butterfly exhibit! See hundreds of butterflies
and the plants that surround them. This interaction has

County Museum of Art (LACMA). LACMA has been
devoted to collecting works of art that span both history
and geography, mirroring Los Angeles’ rich cultural
heritage and uniquely diverse population. Today LACMA is
the largest art museum in the western United States, with
a collection of over 135,000 objects that illuminate 6,000
years of art history from new and unexpected points of

Senior Center Designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility,
this introductory level class will improve the way you feel
about your health and body, while increasing muscle mass
and bone density. Participants work at their own pace
and within their own comfort range. Pep Up Your Life is
taught by students from the Department of Kinesiology
and Nutritional Science at California State University, Los
