MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

"Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts."
~ Winston S. Churchill

The above quote by Winston Churchill advocates the importance of consistency in our efforts to
achieve an eternal pleasure of seeking ultimate success. History reveals that, the Mankind has
been blessed with an immense ability to adapt with the changing scenarios, whenever there is a
call for it.

In the extant crisis of global pandemic, we have been successful to evolve the novel ways of
leading a normal life despite of innumerous hurdles and limitations.
As a proud stakeholder of a prestigious educational organization like ours, every of our
teachers has endeavored to extend the best of his/her contribution in ensuring the reach of
education to our students at their doorsteps, while they are away from the vidyalayas
through online classes and thereby, enabling them to continue their expedition of learning.
Implementation of CMP in the true spirit in this challenging time has not been a play of a
child then. All the programmes and celebrations enshrined in the draft document of CMP,
may it be the celebration of grandparent’s day, Welcome of the students or other important
events have been effectively carried out virtually.
The present CMP e-newsletter effectively mirrors the efforts made by our teachers.
I congratulate the coordination committee, other primary teachers, students and parents
who have taken great pain to bring out the second volume of CMP Newsletter.
I must not forget to congratulate our headmaster, Sh. Kevin Patel, whose able guidance and
constant motivation has been proved very crucial in bringing out this newsletter.

With best wishes!

Awadhesh Kumar,
Principal

MESSAGE FROM HM

“Where there is a will, there is a way.”
The proverb above, glorifies the collective significance of optimism, hard work and positive
spirit in one’s pursuit for the golden path leading to the ultimate level of success.
In the current scenario, when the world is passing through a highly vulnerable phase thanks
to the pandemic, our endeavors to look for the silver lining, promising a normal and a better
post-pandemic life have abundantly increased. We have evolved novel ways, modes and
methods to cope up with the steep change in almost all walks of life. Education is however,
perhaps, the most adversely affected domain, which, with all its limitations, has witnessed
frequent switch-over from offline to online and vice-versa, these days.
KVS, being a torch bearer educational organization of our country, cannot afford to let the
journey of learning of its students succumb to the altar of pandemic, especially the primary
students, who have been deprived of the physical learning experiences for the past two years.
However, Extensive and effective use of digital platforms by our dedicated task force has
contributed a great deal in compensating this learning loss.
In such a time, it is a matter of great pleasure that, the Primary wing of this
Vidyalaya is bringing out the Second Volume of CMP Newsletter mirroring the
sincere and dedicated efforts of all the stake holders’ viz. students, teachers,
parents and the school administration, during this challenging time.
The entire editorial team deserves a word of appreciation for giving a 360 degree touch to
this newsletter, covering all the events and activities of Primary section conducted during the
term.
With Best wishes,
KEVIN PATEL,
Head Master

SCHOOL SAFETY

School safety means creating a safe environment for children.

A safe and secure environment is a prerequisite for an effective teaching and learning process.
A school building should be safe for the children, there should be proper and clean toilets for
boys and girls, safe drinking water, well ventilated classrooms etc. are a must. Then comes
emotional and personal safety. Schools should hold regular health check-ups and should be
ready to handle medical emergencies. In a safe school child should be safe against sexual
abuse. Awareness programs are to be conducted to sensitize students on child abuse to make
them aware regarding preventive steps to be taken against child sexual abuse. In addition to all
this, a child needs love, encouragement and support from teachers. Such positive reinforcement
helps to emerge a strong sense of self-worth, confidence and the determination to keep going
even when things are tough. All the criteria mentioned above are fulfilled by our Kendriya
Vidyalaya schools. Thus our schools are safe schools and we should feel proud to be part of
Kendriya Vidyalaya schools.
