Time management Time management skills enable students to maximise their time so they can devote sufficient effort to learning and academic success (Britton & Teser, 1991). IMPROVED SELF CONTROL ConsistentWork Habits Students with greater self-control tend to perform better academically. Students who have developed self-discipline are better able to ignore irrelevant stimuli, maintain their focus on their work, and consistently employ effective study habits.
