THE COCONUT TREE AND THE GRASS

At the edge of a field, there
grew a coconut tree. It was
very tall.

The coconut tree was
always teasing the grass.
"My Dear Grass, you are so
short! I am the tallest and
strongest tree."

Everyday, the coconut tree
teased the grass. The grass
only kept quiet.

One day, there came a
strong storm. "Help! Help!"
the voice of the coconut tree
could be heard asking for help.

Dum! Another loud sound
was heard. The coconut
tree had fallen.

The grass than said,
"My dear Coconut Tree,
even though I am short,
the storm cannot destroy
me!"

The coconut tree was
ashamed. It regretted
for teasing the grass
earlier.

At last, the coconut
tree died.

MORAL VALUE

We must not look
down on the poor and
the weak. One way not
be good at something
but a master of
something else.
