Ceiling Configuration

▪ Firstly, determine the ceiling configuration required
▪ Chose the spacing of primary and secondary member and suspensions

based on design requirements

Marking finished ceiling level

▪ Determine finished ceiling level and mark steel (secondary section) level
on the walls

▪ Install wall track to wall
▪ Mark suspension points to slab soffit according to ceiling design

Installing Suspension Points

1. Mark position of suspension points to soffit of slab

2. Drill 6 mm diameter x 40 mm deep hole into concrete

3. Insert Eye Anchor (TEAM6) into hole and tap the anchor lightly with a
hammer and then pull out anchor to engage locking mechanism

Eye Anchor

1. Drill into soffit of slab with M8 masonry drill bit. Hole depth shall be approx. 50 mm.
2. Insert the Eye-Anchor into hole as shown and use a hammer to lightly tap the anchor in.
3. Use a claw hammer to fit the anchor in between the claw and pull to lock the anchor in place.
4. Place the hooked end of suspension rod into eye of anchor.

Preparing & Installing Suspension Rods

Suspension rod cut to length 1. Press spring clip (TSAC4) with thumb and
(based on ceiling drop) and bend index finger and slip in the suspension rod
one end to form hook as shown
through the 2 holes.

2. Then, release spring clip which will grip
on to the rod.

Fixing the Primary Sections

Attach Primary section (CB3616)
to Suspension Clips – refer to
instructions on following page

Fixing the Secondary Sections

Secondary section

Fixing Secondary to Primary Section

▪ Place Cross Joiner (product code
CJ3616) into secondary section as
shown

▪ Twist Cross Joiner so that the lips of
ceiling batten sit into slots of joiner.
Ensure that the joiner is positioned
vertically and square to the batten.
Repeat the same at intervals equal to
spacing of primary sections along the
length of the batten.

▪ Place batten perpendicular to primary
section and have the tab of joiner
over the top flange of primary section.

▪ Push the primary section tight against
the joiner and press tab down all the
way to rest against the web. Repeat
the same for all connections between
secondary and primary sections.
