help with their motor skills and

weighing 5.75 kgs. and 1 litre Milk in tetra
pack with neat sipper bottles which were

The children were excited to recieve these
gifts (as they thought) But the parents were
pleasantly shocked to recieve this kit, more
overwhelmed as this was the first time
anyone reached out to them. The RCMP
team returned promising to visit them and
give more such gifts if they attend school

Ashramshala at Talvali
We visited a government aided ashramshala
for tribal children in Talavali which is run by
Shri.Digambar Vishe. The shaala house
nearly 400 tribal children and has been
consistently a 100% result in grade 10 and 12
examinations. Shri Vishe is a proponent of
the ‘Gau adhaarit sheti’ model for r ral
economic development wherein he runs a
Gaushala in Talavali which houses only desi
varieties of cows and gives all the milk got
from gir-cows to a local group of doctors for
treating patients. Shri. Vishe has included,
gobar-gas plant, poultry and many other agro
based cottage industries in his model.
Desilted Lake at Talvali
We visited a de-silted lake (Vasundhara
Sanjeevani Mandal – VSM) in Talavali and
saw how de-silting revives a water source
which is essential for agriculture

Organic Farm
We paid a visit to the unique organic farm of
Dr.Suroshe at Khevare. Dr. Surose is a
doctorate and teacher of agriculture and the
knowledge and passion for sustainable
agriculture was totally seen and tasted – the
awesome bananas, ginger, bottle gourds,
okra, moringa beans, green gram beans and
so much more. Most interesting was the
experiment that he is conducting in onion
growing to identify which type of mulching
works best – the silver tarp sheathed, the hay
covered mulch pits or uncovered growing.

We also saw the lake at Asose-Hireghar
village which was desilted by RCMP in the
Smart Year, this has created a water
storage and percolation capacity of 1.2
crore liters

A grand 3141 TRF Seminar 2021-22 was
held at Trident Hotel on 15th Dec 2021. It
was a great opportunity to listen to and

Online Eco Friendly Ganesha Making
With Kutuhal (an initiative by women to promote
traditional arts and crafts), RCMP conducted an online
workshop on making eco friendly Ganesha idols using
‘shaad maati’. veryone from 60+ year olds to 10 year
olds worked at getting their Bappa right. The trainer
Ms. Sahasrabuddhe taught the participants how they
could recycle the same shaadu soil each year and yet
have the most traditional and satisfying Ganesh Utsav.
A physical workshop was also conducted to encourage
eco friendly 'shaadu maati' Ganesha idols. There were 29
participants and the enthusiasm and the positive energy
were actually palpable! Director Youth PP Rtn. Smita
Puranik has spearheaded these projects along with Ms.
Shweta Nakhate from Kutuhal. Our new Rotractors
served as volunteers (President Rtr.Avyay, Rtr. Nandan,
Rtr. Pratiksha and Trask) at the venue, the Gymkhana at
Sathaye College, which was very graciously lent out to us
by Shri Rajwade ji for the occasion.

Badri shared his epic road trip from Mumbai to
London, along with his granddaughter Nishi, in a
speaker session with RCMP. Badri is an adventure-
thrill seeker through his life and shared his
experience on performing Mt. Kailash parikrama at
the age of 60. o He cruised to Antarctica at South
Pole in 2006. Mr.. Baldawa’s passion for adventure
lead to several self-drive expeditions, he drove on
his own from Mumbai to Badrinath temple, 30
years when no proper roads existed
