Dear Friends, Junior Achievement welcomes you to the 19th Annual Indy’s Best & Brightest Awards Program! We have the distinct pleasure of honoring 100 of our city’s thought leaders and changemakers. The men and women honored this year are being recognized for not only their professional accomplishments, character, and leadership qualities, but for the impact they have on our community. These honorees are making a difference every day in our city, helping to build a world of possibilities. At Junior Achievement, we empower young people to own their future success through experiential programs that foster career exploration, work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. JA programs and volunteer mentors impact approximately 50,000 students annually and inspire young people to believe in their potential and pursue their dreams for the future. This is not possible without the support and dedication of our volunteers, sponsors and JA friends and family. We are grateful for all of you. Thank you for inspiring today’s young people to pursue their own paths to success and to explore a world of possibilities. And thank you for allowing us to celebrate you during this special moment in history. TO DONATE TEXT INDYSBB TO 50155 Innovation keeps us in the air. But it starts on the ground. In order to become America’s regional airline of choice, our view of the horizon needed to be different than our competitors. That’s why we encourage and empower our Associates to share their bold and gutsy “what if?” ideas: ideas like addressing the pilot shortage by creating our own flight training school, LIFT Academy, which is creating opportunity and jobs no matter your background. It’s that kind of agile, forward-thinking, can-do attitude that makes Republic Airways different. It’s not just our technology that’s innovative. It’s the creativity and belief in the possibilities that allows our people and our company to soar. We are Opportunity Elevated. rjet.com flywithlift.com Best and Brightest Program 2023.indd 20 3/21/23 11:33 AM

Knowledge and skills make all the difference in an individual’s growth and success. KPMG is deeply committed to lifelong learning and working with organizations such as Junior Achievement to enable equitable access to learning opportunities that nurture talent and transform lives. Literacy must begin early in life. Students who cannot read at grade level by the fourth grade are less likely to have future success and more likely to drop out of school. Moreover, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in our country every year, according to the U.S. Department of Education. This is what drives us to develop innovative, high-impact programs and initiatives to support our communities. In addition to our collaboration with Junior Achievement, our flagship community impact program KPMG Family for Literacy focuses on eradicating childhood illiteracy by putting books into the hands of children who need them most. A critical component in supporting education and developing a diverse talent pool is our relationship with Junior Achievement. We engage with Junior Achievement to prepare and inspire young people to succeed in today’s world through career exploration, life skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and philanthropy. We collaborated to create JA Finance Park Advanced®, a program designed to help high school students understand how to manage finances by challenging them in simulated life scenarios. We take great pride in our partnership with Junior Achievement. Many KPMG professionals volunteer to serve Junior Achievement in cities across the country and serve on Junior Achievement boards, including KPMG – Indianapolis Partner, Mark Shaffer, a Junior Achievement of Central Indiana Board and Executive Committee member. We are honored to have recently received our eighth consecutive Gold U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for providing over 6,000 volunteer hours annually to Junior Achievement USA. We look forward to continuing to empower young people through lifelong learning!
