Antonio's Messy Room

Antonio's Messy Room

Antonio's Messy Room Author: Diane C Illustrators: Catherine Groenewald, Diane C, Jisha Unnikrishnan, Rijuta Ghate, Suvidha Mistry

One day there was a boy named Antonio. His room was very messy. Every time his mom told him to clean it, he didn't. Everyday his room got more messy and he couldn't find anything. 2/9

One day his friends wanted to come over and hang out with him. Antonio didn't want them to see his room looking like a mess so he decided to hide everything in the closet. 3/9

Antonio believed that he did a great job at hiding his stuff. When he began walking away, everything fell back out. He was stuck with clothes, shoes, and toys to put away. 4/9

After that, Antonio began to think. What if he cleans his room instead of throwing things everywhere? Maybe his job wouldn't be that hard. Just then the door bell rang. "Oh no, my friends are here!", thought Antonio as he peeked outside. 5/9

Antonio, what a mess! You need to clean this room right now! Looks like Antonio is going to need some help tidying his room. Can you find: 1) A trophy cup 2) a playing card 3) A black and white feather 4) A red sock 5) A golden key 6) A comb 7) An apple 8) A flashlight 6/9

Antonio told his mom to stall his friends while he cleans up. His mom was reluctant, but finally gave in. Antonio then began to put everything where it goes. For the first time in years he finally saw his floor. 7/9

After 30 minutes, Antonio came out to play with his friends. When he invited them to his room they complimented his room and stuff. They played, watched a movie, ate pizza, and talked all day. 8/9

From that day on, Antonio learned that being dirty is not cool. He should clean up when things get messed up or else the mess will just get bigger and bigger. 9/9
