To celebrate the launch of my new website I am curating a retrospective of selected work from the
10 year period 2009 - 2019.

Many of these paintings have not been out of the storeroom for some while so it’s been interesting
to see these works afresh, to observe the movement in approach, to watch horizons rise and fall and
quite a relief to nd that I can still connect with them; like meeting old friends after time apart and
falling into easy conversation.

I very much hope that they resonate with you and that you will enjoy sharing my journey, the ups
and the Downs, the joy and the privilege of doing what I love and where pink always seems to nd
its way in and warm my heart.

The paintings are all available to purchase and I’m offering them at a reduced price of 20%

Angels and Icons 2013 - 2018

THE LAST ANGEL

On god's good earth the last angel
sings a lament for the passing of faith,
for compassion cast aside
for innocence laid to rest
and comes down from the hills
ready now for some return journey,
wearing a necklace of acceptance
that is slowly coming undone.

If purity is heralded as
the way we enter this kingdom,
as we slip from our mothers’ wombs,
then all the sweetest milk
and the bread of heaven
should nourish us always,
our limbs spread wide in uncontrollable joy,
newborns reaching for something to hold on to.

The last angel heads for the station
where it is already known
that the trains will never arrive,
and the announcer is all out of words,
the clock in the ticketless ticket ofce
ticking for no one.

Checking the scratched out timetable
the last angel turns and briey meets
the glance of a stranger,
remembers someone once loved,
looks up from under the lamplight,
sprinkles a little stardust on the platform
that you and I might see our way in the dark.
