IN LOVING MEMORY
No words can describe the loss of a father,
a friend, a hero.
The sum of our words can not
describe the sense of profound distance
that death brings.
The joy that suffering is over,
that they are no longer with us
but safe and happy is the Lord’s arms
is just a hollow sound that selfishness
will not allow to shine through.
What we want is another chance to laugh
together, hold hands together, sing together.
But looking through the pain and
adjusting the view from self,
we know that our loved one is
happily awaiting our arrival in the
next phase of life.
So today we honor our hero, our friend, our father
knowing that he was a warrior till the very end
and God has welcomed him home. He
has taken all his hopes and dreams for us
with him to whisper them directly to the Lord
because he has not forgotten us as we will
never forget him.
