Our one of the most important Ceo's -Mr Vijay Shekhar Sharma has to pass the

PERSONAL
FINANCE
A 7-step financial checkup to prevent
Mismanagement of money
Look at the current state of your finances and figure out what you need to do to
get or to stay on track so you can reach your financial goals. In other words, give
yourself a financial checkup. The following steps can aid your efforts:
First, find your personal inflation rate i.e. figure out the impact of inflation and
rising rates on your budget. Even though inflation is at high, we don’t all spend
the same amount of money on the same things. See what you’ve spent on food,
housing, gas and other items over the past 12 months. Then, calculate your own
personal inflation rate by adding up your monthly expenses for last month and
subtract your total spending for the month or previous year from its current
year counterpart. Divide that difference by your monthly expenses for previous
year month. The result of that equation is your personal inflation rate. Now see
what you’re spending and what you can cut out or negotiate to a lower rate.
Second, avoid “Lifestyle Creep”. Do not get caught in a high-cost lifestyle as
the cost of your lifestyle increases faster than your income. See what expenses
you can reduce or cut out, like memberships, subscriptions or even travel.
Third, use only one credit card. If you have all of your transactions in one place,
it will be easier to keep better track of your spending. Have one credit card in
your wallet to swipe at the store or use for online purchases. If you use a digital
wallet, use that same card for everything you buy.
Fourth, set limits and alerts on cards. The limit for purchases on a debit card
can vary from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars a day. The bank
generally sets that limit, but you can ask for a lower limit if you think that will
help you reign in your spending. Even some credit cards will let you set your
own spending limits.
Fifth, have a mix of stocks, bonds and cash. An adequate emergency fund in
cash reserves to cover living expenses is critical. Start by trying to stash away
at least three months’ worth. You also need to have a mix of stocks and bonds
(mutual funds and/or exchange traded funds) to make sure your long-term
savings keeps up with inflation. Keep a mix that’s appropriate for the amount of
risk you are willing to take and the amount of risk you need to take so that your
money can grow and you can afford to live comfortably in the future.
Sixth, check out online investment tools. You can consult online investment
tools offered by major brokerage firms, as well as non-profit organizations, to
help you understand some of the basics of investing. Also, talk to a
representative from your employer’s retirement plan — if one is offered — to
find out more details about how you can take full advantage of investments
offered at your workplace.
Seventh, work with a financial advisor. A financial planner can help you set up a
strategy that will be able to weather market volatility and still reach your goals
by having your money divided between different types of assets.

ML use cases in Banking,Finance &
Insurance

insurance claim approved after a minor car accident. Also, there were frequent frauds in
the financial and insurance industries. But today, these operations take less than a day
with little to no human intervention. Also, comparing the ratio of available customers now
to the number back then, the frauds in financial institutions are showing a negative trend.
This paradigm shift was made possible due to the evolving technology in the areas of
Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning. This article covers a set of technologies that
promise to transform the whole idea of doing business in the finance world.
Some of the ML use cases are:-
Insurance Sector.
1.Claims Processing:- Machine-learning-based technologies allow insurance companies
to automate the claims process which dramatically improves the claims processes value
chain from moving claims through the initial report, analysis, & ultimately establishing
contact with the customers, reducing the waiting time.
2.Claim Volume Forecasting:- Machine learning significantly improves the speed &
accuracy of the forecast for individual claims. This has a positive impact on the efficiency
of an insurer's pricing.
3.Property Damage Analysis:- AI-powered object detection analyses data & compares
the level of damage before & after the event. Machine learning models are equipped to
recognise damaged vehicle parts & help estimate the cost of repairs.
4.Speech Analytics:-Speech recognition is a powerful tool to analyse customer speech
based on ‘lead calls’ to improve personalisation. It can identify customer pain points with
products through speech analytics of feedback to improve future products & detect
fraud based on voice analysis of customer calls to improve security measures.
Finance And Banking Sector.
1.Financial advisory:- AI technology can help make an informed decision about
investments & predict possible risks using data analytics, deep learning & machine
learning algorithms.
2.Fraud detection and prevention:-Fraud detection systems in the past were designed
based on a set of rules, which could be easily bypassed by modern fraudsters. But
Machine learning works by scanning through large data sets to detect unique activities or
anomalies and flagging them for further investigation by security teams.
3.Portfolio management:- With machine learning, applications use algorithms to
establish a financial portfolio according to an investor’s goals and risk tolerance. Also, it
requires low account minimums and is usually cheaper than human portfolio managers.

1) RBI MPC member says political parties should apprise voters about the
impact of freebies
1) RBI MPC member Ashima Goyal said that the freebies announced by political
parties are never 'free' and the ones that distort the prices are harmful for the
economy. She said that the political parties should make the financial trade-off
clear to the voters before offering free schemes. This comes amidst The Supreme
Court’s hearing of a petition on freebies to be stopped filed by a BJP leader. The
debate has splintered India's political parties with some siding and some coming
out against the government. The economists have also spoken on the issue calling
for provision to be made in the state's budget outlay for the freebies while some
argued that non-merit freebies shouldn't be offered if the state does not have the
fiscal capability. READ MORE
2) Market share of private fuel retailers falls 50-
80% in a year
The combined share of private players-Reliance-BP, Shell and Rosneft-backed Nayara
Energy-has shrunk by 50-80% in the fuel retail market year-on-year and even the
taxes imposed in July on exports or the official mandate to sell more in the domestic
market hasn't helped. All three private operators together held a 2.3% share of the
domestic retail market for diesel in July, compared to 2.9% in June and 10.6% in July
2021, as per data obtained from oil companies. Their share in petrol slipped to 5% in
July from 5.6% in June this year and 9.8% in July last year. Its also noteworthy that the
PSU oil retailers posted a ₹18,500-Crore Loss in Q1. READ MORE
3) NELCO is reinvesting At lower rates Of return
Though Nelco’s high Return On Capital Employed (ROCE)is comforting but its
historical ROCE movements trend isn't fantastic. However, despite lower returns in
the short term, NELCO’s efforts in reinvesting for growth and itshigher sales have the
potential to make it a multi-bagger stock in the long run. Moreover, the stock’s 733%
return over the last five years is a positive sign too.
On a related note, Nelco has decreased its current liabilities to 51% of total assets
which partly explain why the ROCE has dropped. Effectively this means their suppliers
or short-term creditors are funding less of the business, which reduces some
elements of risk. READ MORE
4) Netflix predicts rising memberships and Free Cash Flow could follow
Netflix, Inc. stock looks attractive from a value investor's standpoint. Moreover, the streaming firm
predicts rising membership accounts in Q3, potentially leading to higher free cash flow and a stock
turnaround. For Q3 Netflix predicts that paid memberships will rise by 1 million accounts over the Q2
levels to 221.67 million. This represents a one-half percent increase in memberships and is slightly
higher than the 221.64 paid memberships at the end of Q1. As a result, investors could reasonably
expect that the company will show a significant gain in free cash flow (FCF) during Q3. For example,
during Q1 the company produced a 10.19% FCF margin on its $7.868 billion in revenue.
As Netflix now forecasts a similar level of revenue of $7.838 billion for Q3, it's possible FCF could
reach $799 million. However, given that Q2 showed a paltry $13 million, it's also likely that the FCF
margin could be slightly below the 10.19% average of Q1. READ MORE
