Lilia and English class.

Lilia and English class.

Lilia and English class.

By,
Taralee Edgar

There once was a fish named
Lilia. Lilia was a colorful
fish and was very kind and
sweet. Every morning Lilia
would get up and go to
school,

going to school was her favorite
thing to do. Her favorite subject
was English, she loved learning
all the new words and finding
different meanings for words.

Everyday she looked forward
to English class and couldn’t
wait to say hello to her
favorite teacher, Mrs. Ray.
As soon as she got to class she
hugged Mrs. Ray

so tight and gave her the
biggest smile
Lilia was one of Mrs. Rays
favorite student’s because
she had one of the best
attitudes, always ready to
learn.

As much as Lilia loved English
she got made fun of a lot because
some of the words she couldn’t say
right. Lilia had a stutter and she
tried very,

very hard to get rid of it. She
practiced everyday trying to
pronounce the
words right. She even tried
having her mom help her but it
still didn’t work.

Everyday that Lilia went
into English class she got
made fun of over and over
and over again. Slowly she
began to like English class
less and less.

The kid’s wouldn’t say
anything super mean but
every time she would
stutter trying to say a
word people would laugh
and call her names.

Lilia thought that she
would never like English
class again because of all
the mean kid’s. Until one
day when they got a new
kid named Alexander.

Alexander got to sit next
to Lilia in class and she
was scared to talk because
she didn’t want him to
make fun of her too.
Everyday Alexander tried
talking to

Lilia but day after day she
ignored him.
One day Lilia got
partnered with Alexander
and they had to go over the
vocab words.

When Lilia went to read her
word she stuttered and the
only thing she
could do was look down at
her feet. Alexander then
began to ask her if
this is why she didn’t talk to
him.

“yes, people make fun of
me all the time because of
it,” Lilia said. “I didn’t
want you to be like the
rest of the class and call
me names and laugh.” “I
would never do that to
you,” said Alexander.

From then on Alexander
made sure that Lilia was
never made fun of again.
Anytime someone would
laugh or call her a name
he would tell them to stop
and that it wasn’t nice to
do that.

Alexander was a great friend
and it was all thanks to him
that Lilia went back to being
her regular self. She also
started loving English even
more than she did before.

Almost every night
Alexander would come
over and help her with her
words. Slowly she began
to lose her stutter and
Lilia couldn’t of been
more excited than she was
that night.

A year later and Lilia has
completely lost her
stutter. One day when
she was curious she asked
Alexander why he wasn’t
one of the guys to make
fun of her? “Because it’s
not right to

make fun of people and just
because you were a little
different doesn’t make you
any less human,” said
Alexander. “I just want to
say thank you for being my
friend and for helping me
with my stutter,

it may not seem like much
but it meant a lot,” said
Lilia.
From then on they were best
friends and inseparable.
They did everything
together, all the time.

The End.
