President’s Message Dear Fellow Exchange Club Members, As the Exchange Club of Needham enters our 77th year of service to the Needham community, I want to pause and remember those members located inside the back cover whom we recently lost. These members contributed so much to so many and made us a better club. We must look back at our past members and remember why our club has enjoyed perennial success as Needham’s greatest service organization. This year promises to be another exiting year as we focus on making our new fundraisers permanent, while also adding new events for the community to enjoy. I look forward to working with our Fundraising Committee to come up with events that are both enjoyable and profitable to sustain our commitment of giving back to our community. Our goal continues to be finding new members that can contribute to the Club in an impactful way. Recruiting and retention requires a focused approach of the Club’s mission, and this year we will focus on developing a concise description of what we do and stand for so that we can explain our mission to others. While we expand these efforts, we will also foster our efforts to reward existing members with creative team building events and service activities. I intend to work with the Social Events Committee to come up with a few optional gatherings this year so that we can gather and socialize in a more informal manner. It is because of people like you that the Exchange Club of Needham has been able to give back to the Needham community and beyond. Growing up in Needham, the Club has always had the reputation of being the pinnacle service organization, and that tradition continues.
