“Public Land”

Scenario: At the land office, a foreigner wants to buy the land office. The officer
tries to explain that this is a public land, generally cannot be sold to
anyone, except there is a specific law that let we do that.

Scene 1: At the public relation desk

PR. Officer: Good morning sir. May I help you?
Foreigner 1: ahh……………Yes (ทําทfาปวดท]อง)
PR. Officer: What’s wrong with you?
Foreigner 1: Amm. Where is the toilet, please?
PR. Officer: It’s over there, sir.
Foreigner 1: Thank you.

Scene 2: At the public relations desk

PR. Officer: Good morning sir, how may I help you?
Foreigner 2: I’m a billionaire and I want to buy this land office to build
a condominium. It will be my home in Thailand
PR. Officer: Sorry sir but you can not buy this office, sir. This is a public land.
We can not sell it. If we sell where can we work then.
Foreigner 2: You can move somewhere else. I’ll give you a good price.
PR. Officer: Sorry sir, but the public land can only be sold by a specific act.
Foreigner 2: But I want to buy it and I have a lot of money. Go tell your
boss that a farang want to buy this land.
PR. Officer: Sorry sir. As I told you. It’s Impossible.
Director: Good morning sir, Is there a problem here?
Foreigner 2: No problem. But I want to buy this office.
Director: Sorry sir, it can not be sold.
Foreigner 2: Why not?
Director: This is public Land sir. We can not sell it.
Foreigner 2: As I told her, I am a billionaire and I’ll pay as much as you demand.
