marks its 30th anniversary in 2021, let
us take a step back in time to reminisce
and salute those who have led the
ASA/ASF in its formative years.

1st ASF – May 1992

The inaugural meeting of ASF was held in Tokyo
chaired by Mr Jiro Nemoto, JSA.

2nd ASF – May 1993

The 2nd ASF meeting was held in Seoul.

3rd ASF – May 1994

The 3rd ASF meeting held in Beijing
decided to create the Ship Insurance
Committee (SIC) in addition to the
existing four Committees.

4th ASF – May 1995

The 4th ASF meeting held in Taipei elected Mr Jiro
Nemoto, the founder of ASF, as Honorary Chairman
of ASF. At this meeting, it was agreed to set up a
Standing Committee to deliberate on creating an ASF
Permanent Office.
