its LGUs were recognized for their competitiveness and
efforts in Ease of Doing Business during the 7th Regional
Competitiveness Summit held at the PICC in Pasay City
on October 24, 2019. Among the top awardees were:

To help learn about best practices on Ease of Doing
Business of other regions in the country, the DTI Nueva
Ecija Provincial Office joined a local study mission to
Legaspi City and Naga City in Bicol on April 9-11, 2019.
The visiting team from the Association of Licensing
Officers of Nueva Ecija (ALO-NE), which organized the
visit, and DTI Nueva Ecija, observed the offices of
Legaspi City and Naga, especially on its front line
services.

Once again, DTI Bataan Provincial Office
received recognition and award as Outstanding
Partner from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
and the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority for its continuing

ACTIVITIES
Gender and Development (GAD) activities were held in 2019 together with DTI-3 associates and clients. DTI-3
regional office associates joined the Women's Month celebration by holding a Seminar on Health and Common
Illness for employees. Dr. Madison Domiguez of the Department of Health (DOH) Region 3 served as resource
speaker for the seminar. A Zumba session was also conducted to ensure the physical well-being of women
employees. In September, a GAD Harmonization session was also conducted to ensure that DTI-3 activities
support the Gender and Development plans of the organization. The GAD Harmonization sessions held were with
DTI associates and DTI partners like MSMEs and consumer organizations.

DTI promotes entrepreneurship for women
in Nueva Ecija on Women's month
Through their commitment and involvement in ECONOMIC
the activities of the DTI-3 CARES Multipurpose Cooperative, UPLIFTMENT
associates of DTI-3 share responsibility, ease their financial
burdens and uplift themselves economically. In 2019, the
cooperative was able to conduct two CSR activities, provide
Cooperativism and Cooperative Governance training to majority
of its members. It was also able to distribute more than Php 1
Million in dividends to its members. The coop also
benchmarked with other cooperatives and federations to
acquire best practices and capacity building sessions.

An essential part of employee welfare is the enrichment of the
spiritual experience of DTI-3 associates. In 2019, associates were
given the opportunity to participate in regular masses, recollection
and church visits. These experiences enabled the DTI-3 staff to
reflect on their mission and vision in life. These enriching experiences
also helped them deal with different kinds of clients and helped them
serve with honesty and integrity.

daily rigors of work, the agency allowed DTI-3 EE NN HH AA NN CC EE MM EE NN TT
employees to participate in physical activities that will
boost their energy and enhance work-life balance. In 2019,
DTI-3 joined the Civil Service Commission sponsored Fun
Run. DTI-3 associates also assisted and participated in the
Nutrition Month Fun Run sponsored by the National
Nutrition Council. DTI-3 RO staff set aside 15-30 minutes
every day for dance exercise at the office to enhance
physical strength and good health.

To ensure the safety and comfort of travelling DTI-3 employees from
distant provinces, as well as guests from head office, the DTI bidded
out in 2019 the construction of the DTI-3 Staff House. The 120
square meter structure was designed by DPWH and constructed by
MP Lingat Construction. It has rooms for male and female guests as
well as common areas like the living and kitchen areas. The DTI
Regional Office also engaged the assistance of engineers from the
Don Honorio Ventura State University to check the compliance of
the contractor to the work plans and safety features of the building.

2019. This was done through structured and
unstructured teambuilding activities.

Collaboration with
stakeholders was one of the keys to
achieving the missions and vision of DTI.
In 2019, DTI-3 helped and was helped in showcasing its
services during the Kabisig Caravan held at SM Clark on October 15-17,
2019. DTI was among the 16 government agencies which participated
in the caravan. Aside from showcasing the accomplishments and
services of the agency, DTI provided services such as business
advisory, business information, services inquiry, complaints
referral and information dissemination to clients.

Central Luzon hosted the Trabaho, TRABAHO
Negosyo Kabuhayan Caravan on May 1, NEGOSYO
2019 at the Kingsborough Convention Center, City KABUHAYAN
of San Fernando, Pampanga. DOLE partnered with the DTI, TESDA,
PAG-IBIG, DSWD, DOST and other national government agencies to 2019
push for more jobs and livelihood opportunities. The event featured
a jobs fair, trade fair and provision of frontline services for workers.
Private sector representatives also joined the event. Senator Pia
Cayetano,DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez, DOLE Secretary Silvestre
Bello III and othey key government officials graced the occasion.
DTI continued to collaborate with the ROLL IT
Department of Public Works and Highways and
local governments to push for infrastructure
projects in Central Luzon that will support the
growth of industries and economic zones. In
2019, a total of five (5) projects worth Php
1.026B with a physical target of 25.31
kilometers were evaluated and endorsed for
funding in 2020 under the Roads Leveraging
Linkages of Industries and Trade (ROLL-IT)
project. Out of the amount endorsed, a total of
Php 130M was approved for all projects
endorsed by the convergence program's
regional technical working group.
QUALITY
MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM
As part of its quality policy, DTI-3 commits to maintain its quality management system
for the satisfaction of its clients. As the DTI moves to upgrade its QMS, ISO 9001:2015
awareness sessions were held for DTI-3 employees to help them internalize the
system. DTI engaged the services of Macrovision Consultancy to capacitate
associates in the upgraded version of the QMS.
DTI recognizes the important MEDIA PARTNERSHIP
role of its media partners in
disseminating meaningful information
to the public. The agency conducts
regular press forums and provides
handy information and press releases
to the quad media. It also regularly
posts on the internet platform the
activities and advisories of DTI to
ensure that the public is aware of the
programs and projects of the agency.
