Utilizing real-time ultrasound imaging our tissue technology accuratey simulates the ultrasound imaging characteristics found in the adult human patient.

Blue Phantom’s percutaneous renal biopsy ultrasound training model allows for the repeated needle biopsy using core needle biopsy or needle aspiration techniques. The model offers an anatomically correct adult male torso with an ultrasound tissue module containing skin, ribs, and right kidney with surrounding tissue.
Core needle biopsy procedures. Clinicians using the ultrasound guided renal biopsy model for core needle biopsy are expecting to
remove tissue samples from the model. Removing a core tissue sample leaves an air filled void in the kidney the size of the core sample. Users can expect to remove core biopsy samples 30 times before the kidney requires replacement (the kidney is easily removed so that the unused upper kidney can be rotated to assume the lower pole position).
Needle Aspiration Procedures. Clinicians using the ultrasound guided renal biopsy model for needle aspiration procedures can expect tremendous utility while utilizing 18 – 21 gauge needles. The Blue Phantom MSK Ultrasound Knee Task Trainer includes all of the essential anatomy to accurately teach and practice ultrasound guided joint injections and aspirations. The Musculoskeletal anatomy of the knee consists of the Quadriceps Tendon, Distal Femur Bone, Proximal Tibia/Fibula, and Patella. The Patella Bursa, Femur Fat Pad, Quadriceps Fat Pad and Percutaneous Fat Tissue are also included to provide the user live feedback of where they are directing the needle. The Patellar Bursa and suprapatellar space can be adjusted
with Blue Phantom refill fluid to simulate different pathology within the knee. The knee comes preset at a 15 degree flexion angle with the ability to flex the knee an additional 10 degrees to create different target angles.
