KRANNERT ART MUSEUM

Come visit the second largest general fine arts museum in the state
of Illinois. With more than 10,000 pieces in its permanent collection
and a dozen special exhibitions each year, Krannert Art Museum is a
destination for visual and multimedia art from around the world. Its
regular programming includes presentations by notable guests, film
screenings, open-mic events, and concerts. Each year it hosts the
BFA, MFA, and Art + Design faculty exhibitions. Admission is free.

JAPAN HOUSE

Japan House provides a peaceful sanctuary in our busy world. Its
traditional Japanese structure, with three authentic tearooms, is
surrounded by cherry trees and serene gardens set within the
university’s arboretum. It nurtures the traditional arts, culture,
and aesthetics of Japan and offers classes, festivals, outreach
programs for the community, and educational activities that
promote greater cultural understanding.

Krannert Center can seat about 4,000 people in its four
