Overall reflection There are things that I have learned from this microteaching class. Firstly, the most important thing that I acknowledge was on how to write up a proper lesson plan and how to be a good educator. I learned how to write the learning outcome in detail and correctly with the techniques. Many factors help me grasp the students to become engaged with the lesson as a future teacher. Now, I recognised the reinforcement techniques and much more. All these will surely help me out during my practicum, and I will apply all these knowledge as well. Then, observing my classmates presenting their mock teachings have added up my knowledge and through their comments also, I have learned on how to apply specific techniques. To conclude, this class helped me to enhance my confidence through all the activities and mock teachings and it helped me to change myself to smoothen my teaching process. Personally, this class prepared me to be an educator.
Personal Principal in teaching Being a teacher is not the easiest job as well all think of. Teachers have many roles in the class and a teacher requires a lot of patience. This is where in a class, every student is unique in their own way and not everyone can perform what we ask. In order to understand the pupil’ s talent, It is necessary to learn about the students ’ background. Providing a positive and welcoming learning environment to the students is one of the essential things that need to be kept in mind in order to allow the students to feel safe and secure. Two-way communication between teacher and student is important as well to maintain a good bond with each other.

WEEK 1 DATE: 3RD JULY DAY: MONDAY CLASS HOUR: 4-6PM LECTURE On the first day of the microteaching class, Madam Nirmala had given us the full clarification of the assessments of microteaching subject. She also showed us the DSKP and explained about the lesson plan as well. Apart from that, she also shared some tips or techniques to grab the students' attention in the class as a future teacher. The things I learned from the first class is the classroom rules should not be more than 3 or 4 need to discuss with the students before making it. If the rules are too much, then the students get bored in the class, and it is also difficult for the teacher to follow it. Then, Madam Nirmala also showed some techniques of managing the class while she conducted the class. For example, a clear tone of voice, moving around to grab the attention of the students and asking the questions to make the lesson more interesting. It will help me as a future teacher to conduct the classes with the students. DAILY REFLECTION REFLECTION

WEEK 1 DATE: 4TH JULY DAY: TUESDAY CLASS HOUR: 11-1PM LECTURE In today 's lesson, we discussed the actual meaning of microteaching. Microteaching is a situation which allows us to experience the real world to enhance our own skill through the comments of our peers and lecturers. It is a mini practice of teaching that takes place in front of the audience which is our peers. I have gotten some ideas on the educational games from today 's class where Madam Nirmala gave some examples of the games that can be included in our teaching and learning process such as wheel of fortune, snake and ladder, chess and so on. I also identify some of the techniques that can be used on all the topics such as hot seat, gallery walk, traffic light, entry/exit card and round robin. In addition, Madam Nirmala also mentioned the importance of including the 21st century skills in our lesson as it is compulsory, and "HOTS" also should be applied in the activities and the lesson that will be conducted in the school later on. It was some of the knowledge that I gained from the microteaching class which will be very helpful to me to conduct the lessons. Then, I also understand the difference between CS and LS, and CEFR and KSSM. Madam Nirmala also advised us to use pupils instead of students in the lesson plan. DAILY REFLECTION REFLECTION

DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 1 DATE: 12TH JULY DAY: WEDNESDAY CLASS HOUR: 9-11AM TUTORIAL REFLECTION Today is our third day of tutorial. I could not attend the class on 10th and 11th July since I was sick. Today the class was combined with tutorial A since Madam Nirmala was having a meeting. For us as usual Miss Siti Hajar conducted the class. Today, she taught about Bloom Taxonomy and how to construct learning objective using it. She also taught about each level and the verbs can be used for each level. Then we were given task to sort out in the class as usual. Ms. Siti instructed each of us to list a verb from any level of Bloom 's Taxonomy on a piece of paper. Then we were required to fold the papers and hand them to her. Each group representative was given a choice of five papers once she had mixed the papers. We were instructed to construct one objective for each of the five verbs on the papers.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 2 DATE: 12TH JULY DAY: WEDNESDAY CLASS HOUR: 9-11AM TUTORIAL REFLECTION Later, Ms. Siti gathered the paper once more and mixed them to other groups. We were instructed to list activities that may be carried out in a classroom for the students with the new five objective in the papers. My friends I were five in group did this task. DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 2 DATE: 13TH JULY DAY: THURSDAY CLASS HOUR: 2-4PM TUTORIAL REFLECTION The topic of today 's class was set induction which is also known as anticipatory set. Set induction is essential because it is a pathway of the lesson and warming up the session to the students by giving some overall ideas about the lesson. The thing that I learned was that the set induction should be related to the topic or theme and whatever we shared during the set induction, it must reappear again in the lesson. It is where it should link to one another. In addition, I also get familiar with four criteria that we need to keep in our mind while thinking about the set induction such as attention getting method, intereting method, putting lesson context and advance organisers. Those will produce an effective set induction to the students and help the teacher to bring the class in smoothly.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 2 DATE: 13TH JULY DAY: THURSDAY CLASS HOUR: 2-4PM TUTORIAL REFLECTION Then, some of the tips also shared by Madam Nirmala to make the set induction more effective such as keep it easy, fun and meaningful to the students. The activity also has been done which gave me some ideas on how to create the set induction generally.

DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 17TH JULY DAY: MONDAY CLASS HOUR: 4-6PM LECTURE REFLECTION Stimulus variation is today 's topic where it will take place from the moment the teacher enters until left the classroom. Stimulus variation is a variety of things or anything that keeps the students engaged with the lesson. I learned that stimulus variation is essential because if it is not there, the students may get bored and their academic performance may be affected. I also recognised that anything that was shown by the teacher in front of the class, was considered a stimulus variation. For example, teaching aids, voice, appearance, activity, attention grabbing and so on. Then, I also got familiar with the factors that get students' attention such as intensity, contrast, movement, audio-visual aids and teacher 's behaviour.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 17TH JULY DAY: MONDAY CLASS HOUR: 4-6PM LECTURE REFLECTION Those factors helped me to give a clear picture to me of how to carry out a class in an attractive way. Apart from that, mock teaching also continued after the lesson. It was interesting with some movement, and I learned some techniques that could apply in the classroom to grab the students' attention since physical movements through the activity may involve the students to engage with the lesson.

DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 18TH JULY DAY: TUESDAY CLASS HOUR: 11-1PM LECTURE In today 's class, I learned about the teaching aids and the importance of it. A teaching aid is defined as anything that helps the lesson. Learning pyramids is something that is new to me, and I have never heard of it before. Through that learning pyramid, I recognised and got some idea on how to conduct the activities and which part needed to be focus more such as teaching others, practice and discussion. Then, I also found out the roles of teaching aids from today 's class and I realised that teaching aids are actually playing a major role in the classroom to attract the students' attention span on the lesson. Other than that, Madam Nirmala also reminds us to include the 5 senses into the activities to make the lesson more effective. REFLECTION
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 18TH JULY DAY: TUESDAY CLASS HOUR: 11-1PM LECTURE I also got familiar with the types of teaching aids such as visual, audio, audio-visual aids and much more. The task also has given where need to come up with 5 teaching aids with 1 topic. Overall, today 's class gave me a bundle of ideas based on the teaching aids and it made me think about the teaching aids that related to English subject. REFLECTION

DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 20TH JULY DAY: THURSDAY CLASS HOUR: 2-4PM TUTORIAL REFLECTION Today is the first presentation of the project 1. We presented our first and second lesson plan that we did with our group members together. Since on 19th July, Wednesday was a public holiday, we submitted two lesson plans together on Thursday. My groupmates and I were divided our parts to do in the lesson plan as usual. This time, I had a chance to come up with the ideas for set induction for both the lesson plans. My other groupmates were helping me to sort out other parts of the lesson plan. Our first lesson plan focused on listening skill, while second lesson plan focused on speaking skill. As for both the pre-lesson, we used flashcards of different types to introduce our topic. For the first lesson plan, the language focus was on adjectives.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 20TH JULY DAY: THURSDAY CLASS HOUR: 2-4PM TUTORIAL REFLECTION For pre-lesson I used flashcards of animals to show to the pupils to guess the topic which was 'The Wonders of Nature '. As for the second lesson plan for speaking skill, I prepared flashcards of icons as my friend suggested to introduce the topic which was 'Lets Chat'. I represented my group members, to present our first task which were to demonstrate our lesson plans and teaching aids. In the beginning the presentation was conducted in the class. But since each group presented two lesson plans, we had a time crisis to complete all the group presentation. Thus, Miss Siti Hajar our tutorial lecturer had Google Meet section with the remained groups who have not presented the lesson plans. Hence, our presentation was evaluated through online.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 3 DATE: 20TH JULY DAY: THURSDAY CLASS HOUR: 2-4PM TUTORIAL REFLECTION As I said earlier, I represented my group to present our lesson plans. While one of my groupmates help me to share screen our slides during the presentation. After listened to our presentation, Miss Siti had pinpoint some simple blunders which we could avoided. DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 4 DATE: 24TH JULY DAY: MONDAY CLASS HOUR: 4-6PM LECTURE REFLECTION In today 's class, all the things that I learned were about questioning techniques. Questioning techniques are essential, and it is a part of the lesson as well where it allows the teacher to know the student's understanding level and allows the students to engage with the lesson. Madam Nirmala has given some situations or examples based on pictures to explain the questioning techniques and it is very helpful to me to understand how to ask the questions. I can differentiate the example questions that could be asked based on the bloom taxonomy. I recognise that bloom taxonomy is playing a major role in this topic where it helps the teacher to develop the questions to enhance the students' understanding.
DAILY REFLECTION WEEK 4 DATE: 24TH JULY DAY: MONDAY CLASS HOUR: 4-6PM LECTURE REFLECTION In addition, I am also familiar with the characteristics of creating a good question such as short, relevant, unambiguous, and so on. It helped me to give an idea on how to create a question that is suitable for the students. Madam Nirmala has suggested asking more open questions rather than closed questions because students' opinions matter a lot. Then, I also learned some strategies on how to respond to the students and what we need to do if we are not sure of the answers to the questions that are asked by the students and also if the students are not answering the questions.
