Safety 1
At Links, safety is our top priority; making sure everyone ends their shift in the same
condition they began. We take a lot of pride in our Safety 1 Program, designed to build and
encourage a culture of safety-conscious team members, each charged with looking out for
themselves and the rest of their team. From eliminating hazards during the design phase, to
minimizing Serious Injury & Fatality Risks (SIFS) throughout construction, our first priority is
the safety of our people and our jobsites.
Early Engagement
Links partners with developers in all stages of development. We have worked with clients
as they take a concept through design, and we have helped other clients get projects back
on track after other general contractors have been unable to finish. Our team is committed
to our client’s success, always looking for win-win solutions to complex construction
problems
Partners in Design
Links was retained in a design-assist capacity for a project in northern Dallas - Ft. Worth.
Over the course of six months, our Industrial team participated in bimonthly collaborative
design-team meetings, along with the architect, engineers, and developer. We were
able to provide actionable design and constructability recommendations that influenced
foundation design, flooring type & engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
enhancements. Those recommendations produced a multi-million dollar net reduction in
project costs.
Value Engineering
Links has been engaged by new and existing clients alike to help bring costs in-line for
already-designed projects. Within our estimating and project management departments,
we have a deep working knowledge of how to value engineer projects by taking existing
plans and altering them in a cost-efficient manner to reduce hard costs while, maintaining
intent and usability. As an example, on a recent project, Links recommended the removal
of fur downs and a redesign of the HVAC system which resulted in a savings of several
hundred-thousand dollars.

method. We spend the time to understand the Owner’s intent, budget &
Advantages schedule so we can develop a tailored strategy that makes sense for their
& project.

Mitigation consultants, construction project managers and subcontractor partners
most suited to the particulars of your project.

We leverage relationships with our subcontractor partners, and we
empower our field experts to provide us with the most up-to-date, real-time,
cost-effective and efficient means and methods to build your project.

Our iterative design process works to clearly and transparently manage
information throughout our design team, review the iterative design
changes, evaluate constructability, control costs and mitigate risk.

Through each stage of design, we update all the exhibits to Amendment
1 of our contract, clearly explaining the evolution of your project and the
decisions we made together - making sure we’re always clear about the final
design as well as price.
