Post signing in: The Zoho user will be diverted to the Home Page which is a snapshot of the various widgets and
features of the interface. The Home page also gives a view of all the approvals, attendance, new hires, important links
etc.
- The Favorites tab allows the user to drag any employee profiles that they want to prioritize.
- New Hires widget will display all the new joinees of the company.
- Quick Links will help the user to create a shortcut to access important links.
- Attendance will allow easy check –in for the user.
- A quick Check-In option is also available for the employees.

Click

By clicking on the Customize Widgets button the user can configure the widgets as per their choice. They can choose a
list of widgets which are useful in their daily operations.

The Home page will project a brief information of all important features on one screen. By clicking on the Birthday tab,
the user can send out personal wishes by just selecting the peer’s name.

The user can wish multiple peers by choosing the option Wish Your Colleagues.

The All Services button will highlight all the important widgets that might be useful in this interface. It is a easier way
to locate whichever feature the user is looking for.

Update
personal
settings

The Self Service window allows the user to update and edit personal information.
But first the employee needs to update the personal info by clicking on Personal Settings, the system will therefore
sync the location and time zone of the user. This step is mandatory for all users.

Edit

In Personal Settings, the user must click on the pencil icon to edit and update their Locale Settings as per their
country and time zone.

Once the locale settings are updated, a green tick will appear. This ensures that the attendance module has been
successfully synced with the local time zone.
By clicking on the Permissions widget, the user can enable or disable confidentiality permissions by clicking on the
turn on/off button beside. This will restrict others to view your personal information such as birthdays, work
anniversary etc.

Attendance

In case, the user has not checked-in for the day, My Request can help them request attendance for that particular day
and state their reason.

Click on Add Request to apply for a fresh request.

After clicking on Add Request, a window will pop-up asking for the mandatory information.
The user can fill in the specific check-in and check-out hours of the particular date they missed attendance.
Please note that all the fields are mandatory.

Once the user clicks on Submit, the request will be successfully applied.

Employees can mark their Attendance Attendance view Shift details Check-In/Check out Week/monthly view
using either of the below methods: Calendar View
List View Tabular View
Biometric – When an employee works in
person from the office. Zoho People is
integrated with the Biometric System
implemented in VERTICURL office.

If an employee has checked in through
the Biometric System, there is no need
for them to Check in through the
application.

Check-In through application: However,
for the remote employees who are not
physically reporting from the office,
need to check in & check out through
this application to mark their
attendance.

Under the View tab, there are three
view styles (List, Tabular and Calendar),
the user can accordingly click and view
their desired style to see their data.

Delegation

Under the Self- Service widget, the Delegation tab helps assigning roles and responsibilities easily.
By clicking on the tab itself directs the user to the List of Delegations page which helps viewing all delegations that has
been assigned or added.
The Add Delegation button on the top right corner will direct the user to another page to assign roles.

After the user clicks on the Add Delegation button, they will be directed to the above window.

The window will show a list of options which needs to be filled by the user to delegate and click on Save thereafter.
There are selective options such as the type of the delegation (Temporary/Permanent)

The Description box allows the user to put a brief official note describing the role.

Time Off

The Time-Off window allows the user to apply and manage all employee leaves. It shows the number of leaves
booked and how many are available.
To apply a leave request, the user must first click on Apply Time-Off on the upper right hand corner.

All the fields are
mandatory

The Apply Time-off window will allow you to fill out the mandatory fields, choose the dates, select the type and state
a reason for the leave. Alongside, It also shows the leave balance that can be applied in future.
After filling out the details, the user must click on Submit to successfully apply the leave or click on Cancel to revert
the action.

After submitting the Time-off request, the status of the request will turn to Approval Pending which will be further
reviewed by the respective manager. The user can click on View to track the status of the leave request.

The user also have the option to click on Cancel Time-off to retrieve their request.

To apply comp off

To Apply a compensatory-off request, the user must click on Time-Off widget and hover over Views option and select
Compensatory Request.

To apply the Comp-Off, the user needs to click on the Add Request option on the top right hand corner of the screen.

Fill in all the
fields

Minimum 6 hrs

The Add Request window will pop-up. The user needs to fill out all the mandatory details and click on the Submit
button.
Please note: To apply a compensatory off request, the employee must add attendance for at least 6 hours either on
the weekend or on the company approved holiday, whichever day the employee wants to apply their leave for.
However, after the compensatory off request is applied, the manager can either approve or reject the request.

Leave Approval (Manager)

For Managers (Only):
This above process follows after an employee applies time off for a particular time. After they successfully submit
the leave request, their status of the leave will reflect Pending for Approval status.
Thereafter, the manager/ admin needs to click on the Time-Off widget and navigate to the Views option on the right
hand bar.
The user needs to click on the Time-Off Applications tab which can be seen under the Views tab.

Once the Manager/ Admin clicks on one of the leave requests, they will be directed to the above page.

It will show all the details of the request that the employee filled out.

On the top right corner, there is a Approve/Reject button which the manager can click to either approve or reject the
leave request,

Once the Manager clicks the Approve/ Reject button, they will be directed to the above window.

This page will show the status of the request and also allow the Admin/ Manager to write a brief comment related to
the leave approval/rejection and take necessary actions.
The admin can therefore click on either of the Approve or Reject button to finalize the leave request status.

Organization

The Organization widget helps the user understand the reporting hierarchy of the organization as well as view the
employee reporting relationship. This tab will make it easier for the employees to know and connect with their
superiors/subordinates. It is usually helpful for the new joinees of the organization.
• To view any employee of the organization and their designations, the user needs to click on the Organization tab

and click on the Employee option.
• Employees can further click on the Employee View option to further view or edit employee details.

The Organization tab also consists of an Organization tree which has two views: Employee Tree and Department Tree.
The user can view the whole organization and their fitment in the structure tree just by clicking on this tab. Employees
can easily connect or understand the management reporting relationship.

Cases

The Cases widget brings a platform for the employees to inquire or track their enquires at one place. It also provides a
list of FAQ’s and solutions provided by Verticurl which is handy for the employees in day-to-day operations.
• Employees can write their query on the Search FAQs bar and click on Find Help.
• There are two set of query options that the employee can choose from whichever best fits their queries. They

can either select the General Queries option or the HR –Statutory Related option.
• The My Requests button helps employees to find and track their request status.

Fill in the fields

query

In the HR-Statutory Related-India option, the employees can fill in their specific HR related query in the question
window and fill in a description and the type of query. It mainly covers queries which includes payslip, taxation, PF
and other salary related queries.
Under the Agent Details window on the right side, the user can view the subcategories related to the query that the
Agent would clarify.

Tasks

Options to view allotted
tasks and their status

The Tasks widget allows the user to create, assign and manage routine tasks to self or others.
An employee can add a task for self and track it accordingly by clicking on My Tasks option and then Add Task.
And the task status can be further tracked by clicking on Track Tasks.
The All-Tasks button allows the employee to view overall number of tasks assigned and tasks completed under the
same view. Furthermore, they can also add a daily to-do checklist for themselves by clicking on the Checklists button.

After the user clicks on the Add Task button, the page will be diverted to the above window.
Here the user has the option of choosing a Task owner and assign the task with the necessary details for self or to
others. The submit and new option will take the user to add multiple tasks.

On completion of the task, click on the icon and update to complete.

Employee Resignation

The Employee Lifecycle widget gives an overview of all the important records that is highlighted during the tenure of
the employee. Any change during the employee life cycle will be highlighted under this tab.
To apply for a resignation request, the employee need to first click on the Employee Lifecycle tab, then Employee
Resignation and further select the Add Record option on the top right corner.

Mandatory
fields

After the employee clicks on the Employee Resignation Form tab, the user will be diverted to the above window. The
user will be requested to fill in the Employee details and select a reason for the resignation request.
Once submitted, the request will be further reviewed by the respective managers.

Approvals

To view the status of
the approval

The Approvals Widget will show a culmination of all types of requests and approvals.

Under the My Approvals tab, the system will show all the pending and the status of the approvals with the timeline.
However, My Requests will reflect all the pending requests the user has applied for.

Reports

The Reports widget is at the end of the main widget bar. This widget helps the user to view/ access or create all forms
of reports across all the services in the system.
To view the Reports window, the user must click on the Reports button to view all different kind of reports across all
services.

The Reports window displays different variations of reports across different hierarchies.

For example, the Team Reports will allow the user to view necessary everyday report details such as: attendance, time
offs, performance and employee information. The user can click to view any of those reports.

There is a Search Employee and Search Reports bar to easily view any specific employee reports.

If the user wants to view reports higher up at an organization level, they need to click on the Organization Reports tab
to view broader reports across other departments and sub-departments.
It has reports of specific teams, their attendance, performance etc as a team. Its easier for a manager to analyse
reports from here.

This window consists of greater report details and options compared to the Team Reports window.

The Zoho mobile app makes it easier way to connect and keep check of the user’s daily work.
• The Home screen in the app displays a culmination of widgets which might be useful for daily use. It also allows

the user to Check-in at work through their phones.
• The Feeds screen allows the user to keep a check of their tasks, check-in reminders, also shift details.

Other features

The mobile application has a user-friendly interface which allows any user to quickly learn and use the app.
• The More option in the app displays all the other features which is useful to track leaves, attendance, search files

etc.
• The MV (Approval) screen allows the user to keep a track of requests and approvals. They can view the status of

all their approvals under one tab.
