Who’s ready to say “goodbye” to winter? 1
SCUTTLEBUTT | SPRING 2022 “Hope to see you all poolside!”
Dear IBYC Members,
From the Spring is slowly trying to make it here and is packed with activities,
Commodore food, and fun. It’s an exciting time at the club with membership stron-
ger than ever. I would like to personally welcome the new members
H H H and their families to the IBYC community.
The past two seasons were challenging for our incredible staff and
management team. Bob Tregoning and his staff were remarkable.
Your patience and continued patronage during unprecedented times is
appreciated.
This season we have a jam-packed social events schedule for children
and adults! Plus our new Chef, Ben Mullett brings with him a passion
for cooking and some really great food. I am looking forward to seeing
what the Chef does with our local Spring bounty. So make reserva-
tions (always a good idea) and enjoy the many gourmet selections
from the club’s shining new star, Ben Mullett.
Enjoy your club and everything it has to offer. Get involved with activ-
ities and social events. You’ll have more fun that way! Attend a Regat-
ta. Enjoy lunch or dinner at your club! Remember the club for any of
your corporate or special celebrations. Join in the pool fun!
It’s obvious this summer will be such a great time at the lake as we all
get back to normal and enjoy the special events at the club. Remem-
ber we want to hear from you about any ideas that may enhance the
club and possibly start new traditions.

Membership is the Heart of IBYC

hill, poolside bingo, and so much more. The outdoor activities and of
course the view of Lake Springfield, are what make IBYC a one-of-a-
kind club in Springfield. The management and staff put a lot of work
to keep operations running smoothly and to create this special place
for our families.
One way we keep our club strong is by recruiting new members to
join. If membership declines, so will our amenities. As chair, Bob chal-
lenged me to create a theme to summarize the vision and goals for
the Membership Committee this year: Shaping the future together
through growth, retention, and the Island Bay experience. This theme
motivated the committee to develop a two-pronged membership
program for 2022.
Welcome Aboard! The membership programs have been a huge success so far!
From March 7- April 30, there was both a Legacy membership program
Brandi Goodin (Eric) and a discounted initiation fee program available to potential members.
