EVER
Carquest has it all and overnight delivery of most any unusual or special part you may need.
The distinct claim of the Bible is that Jesus died and rose to life again and never to die but to grant eternal life to those who become Christians. All of us understand death. It is before us daily – obituar- ies& cemeteries! But to rise, never to die? Has anyone ever seen such? That is the proclamation of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John re- garding Jesus, and thereby making Christianity the unique and pro- foundly outstanding religion in this world. And the only religion that eternally has any meaning.None other like it. If it is so that Jesus’ rose from the dead and has all authority over the entire world(Matthew 28:18), then every person is obligated to follow Him according to His instruction. No one is exempt!
That it is difficult to believe that anyone can rise from the dead, is indicated in the apostle Paul’sepistle to the church in Corinth. Some, who had seen Paul’s miracles attesting to the truth of the resurrection of Jesus and His promise of eternal life, ad were convinced to be- come Christians, then began to doubt that there is a resurrection of anyone after they die. In his defense of Jesus’ resurrection,Paul stated that over 500 had seen Jesus at the same time and that most were still alive (1 Corinthians15:3-6). In other words, if you do not believe me, go talk to the witnesses. Our resurrection depends wholly on one claim – that Jesus rose from the dead.
Some might exclaim conspiracy or legend. Regarding conspiracy, although initially hidden, they do not hold together long. Someone will let the truth slip out. But to be believed, the dead body would necessarily need to be produced.
Regarding legends, they are not formed until about a century after the claim of the legend. After 100 years, who would be alive to refute the legend? But Paul wrote this epistle about 25 years after Jesus dis- appeared from terra firma, thus his appeal regarding witnesses who were still living. Again – Go talk to them.
If Paul had been lying, someone would have debated with him and/or written a refutation. However, that would necessarily demand that someone would present the corpse of Jesus of Nazareth. There is more evidence of Jesus’ resurrection.
