Tapsters
History usually repeats itself. In the
1800s you would have walked into your
local watering hole, and a Tapster would
greet you with a smile and asked ‘what
are you having?’ The word Tapster was
the Old English version of the word
Bartender. In modern times, quick and
friendly service seems to have died with
the times.
Fast forward a couple hundred years, the
word Tapster now refers to our
attendants working at Hop, and they are
there to make your experience as smooth
as possible.
Tapsters are responsible for guiding
guests through the entire process from
beginning to end, verifying IDs of cus-
tomers entering kiosk area, and assisting
guests with setting up a Hop account.
Tapsters are equipped with the passion
of a cicerone and the knowledge of a
sommelier, and are the heart and soul of
the Hop experience. Tapsters will
suggest different drink options to our
guests based on their preferences and
guide them through the process while
assisting them with the techniques
required to successfully pour themselves
a beverage.
Ongoing training will ensure Tapsters
are not only knowledgeable, but are also
following proper procedures, to make the
environment a safe and responsible place
to get a drink.
