Iklim terkait dengan bagaimana rata-rata terjadi dalam waktu tertentu. Jenis Tanah, terkait dengan bagaimana kondisi tanah dan juga bagaimana sejarah proses terbentuknya tanah. Bagaimana jenis tanah yang ada di sebuah lokasi. Misalnya jenis tanah aluvial atau tanah vulkanik dan sebagainya. Sumber daya, hal ini terkait dengan bagaimana sumber daya air yang ada di sekitar wilayah itu. Apakah air tanah bagus dan tersedia. Bagaimana sumber air berasal dan sebagainya. Selain itu juga dilihat sumber daya mineral, apakah terdapat sumber mineral seperti minyak bumi, batu bara, bahan tambang pasir dan sebagainya. Pemerintahan Desa adalah desa dan desa adat atau yang disebut dengan nama lain, selanjutnya disebut Desa adalah kesatuan masyarakat hukum yang memiliki batas wilayah yang berwenang untuk mengatur dan mengurus urusan pemerintahan, kepentingan masyarakat setempat berdasarkan prakarsa masyarakat, hak asal usul, dan/atau hak tradisional yang diakui dan dihormati dalam ssitem Pemerintahan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa). Kelurahan adalah suatu wilayah yang dipimpin oleh seorang Lurah sebagai perangkat daerah kabupaten dan atau daerah kota di bawah kecamatan (UndangUndang No. 32 Tahun 2004 tentang Pemerintahan Daerah). Kecamatan Tobelo Barat terdiri dari 7 desa. Setiap desa di kecamatan Tobelo Barat telah dilengkapi dengan Badan Perwakilan Desa. Kependudukan Penduduk Indonesia adalah semua orang yang berdomisili di wilayah teritorial Indonesia selama 6 bulan atau lebih dan atau mereka yang berdomisili kurang dari 6 bulan tetapi bertujuan menetap. Laju pertumbuhan penduduk adalah angka yang menunjukkan persentase pertambahan penduduk dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Distribusi penduduk adalah pola persebaran penduduk di suatu wilayah, baik berdasarkan batas-batas geografis maupun berdasarkan batas-batas administrasi pemerintahan. Komposisi penduduk adalah pola persebaran penduduk menurut karakteristiknya, contoh: penduduk menurut kelompok umur, penduduk menurut jenis kelamin, penduduk menurut jenis pekerjaan, dan lain-lain. Penduduk Kecamatan Tobelo Barat tahun 2019 berdasarkan data Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencacatan Sipil Kabupaten Halmahera Utara adalah sebanyak 3.404 jiwa yang terdiri atas 1.791 jiwa penduduk laki-laki dan 1.613 jiwa penduduk perempuan. Mayoritas penduduk di Kecamatan Tobelo Barat (sebanyak 23116 jiwa) menganut agama Islam.
