Knight Electrical Ltd are specialists in Power Systems integration, undertaking generator controls and all forms of installation
and site modification works. Founded in 1992 Knight Electrical Ltd have been working with, and then manufacturing, Electrical
Switchgear for over 20 years.

Based in the heart of Somerset, our team of dedicated engineers offer a wealth of experience in all aspects of design,
manufacture and installation. Working across the UK we are available to offer hands on advice when required.

We also specialise in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of generators & LV switchgear. We have carried
out works for local authorities, utilities, food industry, manufacturing, agricultural and horticultural, prisons, hospitals, MOD
establishments and commercial premises.

Power Quality Analysis…



For industrial, commercial and institutional premises,
there is often the need to determine the quality of the
electrical supply and distribution, both for reliability and
predicting future works. We have the equipment and
expertise to carry out a full power quality analysis,
ensuring that you can rely on your electrical systems.


The Knight Electrical service covers the installation and
removal of equipment and the production of graphical
interpretations of data collected.










Thermal Imaging Surveys…




We have specialist equipment as well as the technical
expertise to carry out a full thermal imaging survey of your
premises. This can reveal all kinds of potential problems,
which can then be repaired during a scheduled shutdown,
avoiding breakdown costs and production interruption
during busy times.


This service can be vital for industrial premises as well as
institutions such as hospitals for whom reliability of
electrical supply is an essential factor.


All site personnel are CSCS qualified and carry out works
in line with industry standards and most are first aid
trained.

Thermal Imaging Surveys:
A Knight Electrical Ltd survey will be analysed
and a report will be put together, outlining any
potential problems and possible solutions.
These problems can then be rectified at a time
convenient to yourselves.

Knight Electrical Ltd specialise in G59 Generator
conversions for short and long term paralleling.


We have converted various mobile generator sets for use
by multiple DNOs as no-break backup and maintenance
solutions.

manufacture, design, installation and commissioning of
your G59 control system.

Maintenance Service Contracts…



The law requires electrical equipment to be maintained to
prevent danger.


The type and frequency of user checks, inspections and
testing needed will depend on the equipment, the
environment in which it is used and the results of previous
checks.


Electrical equipment should be visually checked to spot
early signs of damage or deterioration. Equipment should
be more thoroughly tested by a competent person often
enough that there is little chance the equipment will
become dangerous between tests. Equipment used in a
harsh environment should be tested more frequently than
equipment that is less likely to become damaged or
unsafe.




Knight Electrical is able to provide a full service level
agreements. The level of the service can vary from small
PAT testing to fully comprehensive Electrical Testing, PAT
Testing, Generator testing and servicing as well as
looking after your Security and Fire Alarm Systems.
We would be more than happy to tailor any contract to
guarantee full compliance with the current regulations and
legislations.


Equipment should be thoroughly tested at regular
intervals by a competent person to reduce the chance of
the equipment becoming dangerous between tests.

Load Bank Equipment…



A load bank is a device which develops an electrical
load, applies the load to an electrical power source
and converts or dissipates the resultant power output
of the source.


A resistive load bank, provides equivalent loading for
both generators and prime movers. That is, for
each kilowatt (or horsepower) of load applied to the
generator by the load bank, an equal amount of load
is applied to the prime mover by the generator. A
resistive load bank, therefore, removes energy from
the complete system
