Samuel’s friends are in the backyard to help him clear the storehouse.
There is plenty to do. The storehouse is full of things. They have been there for
months and now it’s time to clear them out.
Ali collects the old newspapers and ties them up. Partiban f nds a box of
old glass bottles. “Phew! This is heavy,” he says as he drags the box.
Chong slowly peeps into a plastic bag. A little lizard jumps out of the bag

and crawls up the wall. “Yikes! I dislike creepy-crawlies!” Chong screams in
fright and takes a step back.
“It’s just a lizard,” Samuel says as he takes the plastic bag away. “How
about that bag over there? I don’t think there’s any lizard in it,” he says.
Chong turns to look at a bag of plastic containers. He takes that out, and
comes back for more. Finally, when the place is cleared, they cheered, “Hooray,
we did it!”
“What’s going to happen to these things?” Partiban asks.
“We’ll sell them to the recycling centre and put the money in our class
fund,” Samuel explains.
“Yes, we agree!” his friends exclaim happily.
