(a) Adjectives of colour, size and shape tell us more about nouns (people,
animals, places or things).

(c) The superlative form (the + adjective + -st/-est). When we want to compare
three or more unequal persons or things, we add ‘-st’ or ‘-est’ to the
adjective.

3. He is the strongest boy in the class.


(d) Add the word more (for the comparative form) and most (for the superlative
form) in front of adjectives which have three or more syllables and which
end in ‘-ful’.

(a) Positive Questions
A positive question begins with a positive auxiliary verb such as Is, Are,
Do or Have. It also begins with a positive modal such as Can, Will, Should
or Must.

Examples:
1. Is this your handkerchief?
2. Do you have any wrapping paper?
3. Can he drive a lorry?
4. Must they work overtime?


(b) Positive Responses
A positive response begins with Yes.

Examples:

1. Yes, it is./Yes, this is my handkerchief.
2. Yes, I do./Yes, I have some wrapping paper.
3. Yes, he can./ Yes, he can drive a lorry.
4. Yes, they must./Yes, they must work overtime.


(c) Negative Questions
A negative question begins with a negative auxiliary
