Biografie

plaatsen.

Biography

Attended Glasgow school of Art 1989-93.
Graduated BA(Hons) Fine Art in Printmaking.

Since Graduating from GSA, has continued artistic practice as a painter,
exhibiting regularly in solo shows and group exhibitions in London
and throughout the UK. Represented by Galerie Van Campen & Rochtus, Belgium
Currently based in WASPS Southblock Studios in Glasgow, Scotland

Recent paintings depict commuters and people travelling through
half-remembered spaces, situations and scenes based upon memories both real
and imagined.
These paintings are partly an attempt to balance a sense of movement with a
sense of stillness, a contradiction which hopefully heightens the strangeness of
everyday life and the people around us.

Other work includes commissioned portraits and an ongoing series of portraits
depicting anonymous individuals, their characters
reimagined according to what their appearance suggests.
