Welcome to Lymm Historic Transport Day 2015
Is it really just two years since the first Lymm Historic
Transport Day? We have come a long way in a short Contents
time. 2014 was such a huge success that this year we
were totally booked out with exhibits and traders by the P5 TheSteamShow

end of February. Fingers crossed that the sun shines and P7 Tickets/Parking
gives us a great last day to Lymm Festival 2015 – though of
course we have plenty happening indoors too. P7 MainEventField

In 2015 we say a special welcome to our huge contingent of P8/9EVENT MAP
Traction Engines in the village centre right next to the canal
near all the Historic Working Boats. They will even be having P10 ModelRailShow
their steam coal delivered by boat! Thanks go to Lancashire P11 Historic Boats

Traction Engine Club for supporting this part of the show. P12 AviationArtExpo

The newly built Maple Lodge Scout & Guide HQ is in full P12 LymmHeritage
swing too with model railways and model car racing. And
there’s more model rail in the Village Hall plus an O gauge P12 RemoteControl
real steam model railway in the Methodist Hall. Car Racing
And of course you can’t miss the main May Queen Event
Field with hundreds of vehicles, bags of free entertainment P12 Indoor Market
and a great mix of market and exhibitors as well as a range P13 Housekeeping!
of food and drink. A big THANK YOU to this year’s patron
FUZZ TOWNSHEND too. Be sure to say Hi when you see him. P15 TIMETABLE

You will have plenty of opportunity to eat and drink in the
village as well with its variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes
and voluntary catering groups as well as an indoor market.

This is a whole day out from the drive-in parade at 10.30 to
the Historic Boat sail past at 16.30. Why not dress the part
too and add to the vintage atmosphere!

Disabled Access— We appreciate this is not the easiest event to get around

especially in a wheelchair due to distances and surfaces. The approach to the
field via Pepper St is quite steep and uneven in places. We aim to set aside disa-
bled parking near the Mayfield View entrance—marked on map - giving direct
wheelchair access to the field. There are disabled places on Pepper St Car Park
and Davies Way Car Park and there will be disabled parking at both Park &
Rides. All indoor venues are wheelchair friendly and all toilets have disabled
facilities. NB Wizard will offer disabled access boat trips from village centre.
