FOREWORD

ADVISOR

Hari Om,
TSTP was once started with a mission to ensure first class
growing youths, 8 years ago. Moving successfully into the
9th year of this journey gives me an immense pleasure and
is certainly proud that we have impacted the life of many
young, talented Indians. We are hoping in reaching out to
many more amazing youngsters and make a change in
their life and bring betterment to the community.

Thank you.

Mr Ganesan Seerangam

PRESIDENT

Vanakam,
Never have I imagined that an ordinary youth coming from
Segamat township will be capable to influence and leave
footprints in life of many fellow Indian brothers and sisters
through TSTP. Its programmes and modules are specially
devised for Indian students and youngsters, aged 10 years
old to 19 years old, needless to say creates a powerful
impact. Undoubtedly, TSTP’s motto, ‘MASS – Mentality,
Attitude, Soft Skills’, cornerstone of all.

Power of Youth. It all begins with you!

Thank you.

Mr Thinesh Soundra Raj

2011

It all started in the Year 2011 during Student Leadership Convention (SLC), organized by
University of Malaya since 2006. The convention was engendered to create awareness and
provide maximum exposure to undergraduates on relevant developments in the country and
pertinent information on global issues. SLC is a platform that gathered top Indian student leaders
in Malaysia to encourage productive thinking and to nurture a culture of excellence and
perfection among undergraduates. Thus, bringing prominent figures around the country
together in one platform to inspire and guide. The convention has always been a neutral ground
to discuss and debate, simultaneously provoking thoughtful and effective ideas to be
implemented in various private, government and NGO institutions in the country for the
betterment of society.

During the convention, the participants was asked on what improvements can be implemented
for the Indian students. Mr Ganesan Seerangam along with Ms Kaladevi Kaliannan, Ms Hemma
Kanthasamy and few others who were also the participants of SLC came up with ideas to
resolve certain issues in Tamil Schools and Indian Students back then. The idea then evolved as
Tamil Schools Transformation Programme Team, that started with a team of 6 people.

The team started with distributing stationery, school bags, school shoes to needy Indian Students.
However, during this period of time, TSTP was unregistered and the process to register it with
Malaysian Registry of Societies (JPPM) was on going. After some time, they came up with an
idea to conduct programme for Tamil schools. The first school that was chosen to conduct the
programme was SJK(T) Bukit Rajah, Selangor.

and TSTP’s aim to reach out to more Tamil School students nationwide, started to accomplish
swiftly. The modules designed for TSTP also began to gain more acceptance and started to
obtain recognition from various parties. Soon after that, the modules were adapted in Singapore
and awarded Mr Ganesan Seerangam for contributing these modules and programmes
nationwide. Mr Ganesan Seerangam won the Tamil Youth Icon Award from the National
University of Singapore (NUS) on 27th July 2012. In the same year, Mr Ganesan Seerangam was

TSTP organized National UPSR Seminar for the first time. This one – day free seminar, conducted
for underprivileged students. It was conducted at University Malaya on 25th August 2013 with a

those students who cannot afford to attend seminars. Furthermore, the students are mostly from
rural areas, hence through this seminar, they can experience the feel of being at a university.
Indirectly, they will dream on to and make it as their mission to study hard and to complete their
tertiary education in a university. Through this, TSTP’s greatest achievement will be to bring out
the future graduates that are within these students.
