DIS-ORDER M402 Architecture Project Fall Semester 2022-2023 AtelierZ Prof.Dr. ADNAN AKSU Teammate: Sevde Nur Erdem In the final project, the re-functioning of the industrial zone Iskitler, which is located in a location that can be considered both as the center of the capital and the administrative center of the city, was studied. 8 How we sought to refunctioning the urban industrial zones was through the idea of co-production and co-consumption. At its core, project bridges the contestations of urban activities across multiple agencies inhabiting the district. It is used in commodified into a self-regulatory component for the production and consumption of urban activities and İt is providing opportunities for collaboration and exchange throes ugh a new model of working. Project itself, such in which strives to cultivate a community that produces what they consume — ‘For the people, by the people’. In the context of this idea, twenty-four locations were strategically determined in the industrial zone of Iskitler and folios with different functions were placed in these locations. In order to provide cooperation and transportation between these folios with different functions, a transportation system that continues at the upper level has been designed. With this transportation system, it is ensured that the products are transported to another point. In addition, the transportation system also serves those in the city. Thus, Citizens were provided with the opportunity to be included in the production and to monitor the work done. Concept Dis-Order

The main thing for us was to get people engaged and involved from the making process, the ideation, testing and giving feedback, crowd funding, to the consumption of retail and dining through a new commercial experience of the ‘site as a industrial revolution 5.0 ’ where you can buy everything you use (on the site). By integrating the techniques of local architecture with the latest technologies, it was desired to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly aspects of local architecture. To further support the idea of co-production, these activities are then hosted in spaces produced by the Production Stations itself, such in which strives to cultivate 12 Dis-Order
The scheme explores the concept of the circular economy which seeks to keep resources in use for as long as possible, constantly regenerating them into new forms and products. Such involves 4 elements — recycling, making, testing, and distribution. Old and outdated elements of İskitler co-working / residential amenities are being sent back to the Production stations where they will be disassembled, crushed, and recycled to form filaments for the large-scale 3D printers in the hub. These printers then use these recycled filaments to print new industrial elements of co-working modules to be distributed to the rest of the site. Such encourages minimal material wastage. 13 Kardelen Dağlı I Portfolio2023

Biophilia is considered to be the missing link in sustainable design. The goal of biophilia is not to reduce the harm but to make this process of mental health well-being more habitable, enjoyable and healthy. Biophilia The Nest-Oaois We designed our project with an understanding that we can perceive nature with our five sense and establishes the connection between the five sense and human. The concept of our project is that it is a center that comes from nature rather than a wellness center in which nature is later included. The project itself is a part of nature and we build the program on this foundation after taking the healing power of nature as a basis. With an attitude aiming to protect the elements that need protection with the existing natural opportunities of Australia, the main concept has been determined as the wellness of both the users and the natural elements that are in danger of extinction. Inside-Out M301 Architecture Project Fall Semester 2021-2022 AtelierZ Prof.Dr. Adnan AKSU Teammate: Sevde Nur Erdem AtolyeZ works in the context of “contemplation” theme. It defines a playful architectural production journey and the studio aims to establish such a journey as a “festival”. Based on the questioning of architectural education environments, the theme calls for discussion of the relationship between spaces and actors that enable the acquisition of design skills. It explores ways to transform the act of design into a festival where architecture is constantly treated as a matter of invention and architecture builds itself over and over again. In our daily lives, we were unwittingly coexisting with underground networks that have many functions, our relationship was decoupled and they have been hide from the eyes and hidden underground. We have determined an educational concept in which everything is revealed in our project, ensuring interdisciplinary cooperation and experience. We planned to expose the knowledge and continue the understanding of education for everyone by creating binding networks where studios feed each other with a model similar to how underground networks interact by feeding each other. By turning the underground inside out, we brought the pipes to the surface with a metaphor such as the disclosure of information, and made the invisible visible. Underground networks have become almost identical with spaces, offering different experiences and possibilities in different places according to their functions, and these hidden networks are now becoming part of space, that is, the subject, and turning into a thing.İnformation is not left behind closed doors, trainings are given in a carnival environment by studios together with these stored pipe networks in our project Kardelen Dağlı I Portfolio2023 29

House of Water M301 Architecture Project Fall Semester 2020-2021 AtelierZ Prof.Dr. Adnan AKSU Teammate: Mervenur Aydoğan and Nazlıcan Aylak Increasing precipitation with global warming causes river floods and floods occur from the closed areas of the ten waterways in the Oslo to the city and much more serious problems will be encountered by 2050’’’ The project starts from focusing on the concept of ‘’sustainable future city Oslo’’ and designs a collaborative platform presenting new solutions to future water challenges. Enclosed rivers and streams have a limited capacity to handle large amounts of water. Reopening rivers should be an integral parof a major plan for climate change adaptation in Oslo. Floods that may occur as a result of increased precipitation due to climate change will be directed to the catchment spots determined on the map and water should be accumulated in these areas. In addition, the waterway will be placed in its historical run and be accessible for the general public Floods that may occur as a result of increased precipitation due to climate change will be directed to the catchment spots determined on the map and water should be accumulated in these areas. The proposed design to alleviate these problems is open the Toyen Park, which has an urban memory, as a rainwater catchment basin that can hold water as a lake, and create a sustainable area in this place while treating the water and transforming solid wastes. In addition, these solutions will solve the problem of alienation in the city and enable people to socialize by increasing their interaction with each other. These integated solutions propose new urban lifestyles, new ways of production and recycling in the city, and new productive solutions for the entire city. The system can develop important cultural initiatives by creating a network of ideas and interaction hile creating permeable spaces that make you feel recycling and sustainability in every corner. The program is structured by a pipe system where the wastewater is taken from the collection area and its treatment allows new volume constructions in the interior. At the same time, it works with a new transformation and recreation areas, which are used to raise awareness of the public about the phenomenon of recycling and recyclable materials and progress in parallel with the water treatment fiction. With the proposed design, the existing buildings will be renovated with new functions such as museums, libraries and exhibitions, and a cultural center will be built to make the project area an interesting and attractive place in the city. Our aim is create an environmentally friendly cultural space. We care about the outdoors where people can socialize with the greenery. New building will have offices, restaurant and recreation areas as well as areas that support cultural activities. It is aimed to contribute to the quality of the urban area in the representative part of the city with the vegetation cover and recreation facilities covering the façade intensively as a solution to the serious lack of vegetation on the project land and its surrounding. In addition, there will be an underground parking lot in the new building as a solution to the lack of parking space due to lack of space. Kardelen Dağlı I Portfolio2023 49
