How To Boost Your Self-Confidence

Have you ever questioned your abilities and feel less of a person when surrounded by other people?
Do you feel the need to boost your self-confidence? Do not worry there are solutions to that.

Confidence can change the way you look at life because it means improved life. You will feel more
powerful than you have felt before and you are not afraid to make any decisions.

1.Do not be your own critic

This always happen when a person is at the lowest point. They will start to say bad things to
themselves such as “I am good for nothing”, “They’re better than me”, etc. You cannot change the
way people talk at you, but you can change the way you talk to yourself. Do compliment yourself
even when you achieve a little thing. Words hurt, so please be nice to yourself. Understand that it’s
alright to make mistakes and learn from them.

2. Use positive affirmations

Lack of confidence may cause negative thoughts and negative self-image. Practise the negativity
around with positive affirmations. For example, “I’m a confident person”, “This is easy”, etc. In the
beginning, these affirmations may seem a little too much but with time as you repeat them over and
over again, they will become a part of your subconscious mind. Trust yourself because it will give
positive vibes to your life.

3. Learn to say NO!

“...N to the O to the NO, NO, NO...” Just say no to things you don’t like or don’t want to do. Stop
people-pleasing. The only person you should be pleasing is YOU. Saying Yes to people to save your
relationship is a harmful habit which kills your confidence slowly. There is a difference between
helping others and being used. Every time you say no to something insignificant, you say yes to your
priorities.

4. Eliminate toxic people

“You need to associate with people that inspire you, people that challenge you to rise higher, people
that make you better. Don’t waste your valuable time with people that are not adding to your
growth. Your destiny is too important.”- Joel Osteen

If there are people that doesn’t treat you the way you deserve, throw to them salt in their face. Just
kidding. Try to distance yourself from them and spend less time with them. Spend valuable time with
people who genuinely care and support you in every situation. This will give you good effect such as
the way you think. Choose your company wisely because you won’t get to improve life when there
are people who keep putting you down.
