Minor Dragons
Pseudodragons
The smallest of all dragon kinds is no bigger than a house cat.
Though many pseudodragons have a distinct species that is
recognized as a whole, they do have a few other minor
subspecies such as Fairy Dragons and Pygmy Dragons. Though
no matter the subspecies the majority act roughly the same
and have similar natural protections and abilities. The first
being that all Pseudodragons have a natural resistance to
magic and that all pseudodragons have a stinger of some kind.
A note for any adventurers who wish to befriend a
pseudodragon of any kind is that they have to choose you and
do not belittle them in any way as they want to to be seen as
equals and not pets or servants. If one can achieve that, then they will have a friend for life.
Kobolds
The next smallest of dragon kind is the
Kobolds. These bipedal humanoid draconic
creatures sit as tall as a gnome and are
devious as well as inventive. If one thought
that a goblin was clever to set traps with what
they got, then they’ve never seen a kobold use a
skunk in a cage as their bioweapon and bag
full of bees as a ranged explosive. Kobolds are
as clever as any gnome tinkerer and do what
they can with what they got. Kobolds typically
are quite harmless even in large numbers but leave a kobold long enough outside your
town, and they’ll build a catapult to fling their brethren over atinn attempt to raid and rule
the city. Kobolds become more dangerous when any dragon more powerful than them
(which isn't much to say) is venerated as their god. Unfortunately Red Dragons do tend to
employ and seek out kobolds reveredly venerate to begin their armies. Above all things most
kobolds with old enough clans hate gnomes, as it was a gnome deity Garl Glittergold tricked
the Kobold god Kurtlmak into falling into a maze under the mountains never to leave
again. This sparked the believed original creation of kobolds and their maze like homes in
the mountains

Half Dragons
Half breeds of dragon and mortal blood. These
humanoid dragons are direct offspring to dragons
more often than not an Adult or Ancient Dragons. The
reason that a Half-Dragon has immediate ancestry to
a dragon and not a distant ancestry is that these
Dragon Humanoids are born sterile and could never
have their own born naturally. Many Half Dragons are
born as a part of the cult of Tiamat as they grow to be
mighty enforcers or guards of high-ranking members
or priests. Outside of Tiamat’s many of these Half
Dragons become powerful rulers or overlords of large clans or bandit groups.
However, there are occasions such as a Metalic Half-Dragon listening to its
instincts and finding ways to work in the light of good or even Bahumat.
Draconians
The relatively newest species in the realm, these
Draconic humanoids are found in very few places
in large populations but have over time spread
throughout the world since the beginning of the
current era. Though they look as if they may be
related to dragons they are in fact not and those
who tend to be as related to one as a human
Draconic Sorcerer. They as well have no relations to
Half Dragons. Simply put they are their own species
that fall under the category of Dragon similar to
kobolds or Psuedodragons. The Draconian culture
was birthed not on this but rather another realm
entirely. From what is told by the oral history by
Draconians was that their capital was transported from their home into our
realm. From what little they tell of their homelands, they were ruled by dragons for
many thousands of years. The lands were much more expensive than that of any in
what we know.

Lesser Dragons
Drakes
Quadrupedal draconic creatures have a
very pack-like mentality and respond
only to those that show are stronger
than it regardless of their ancestry. The
intelligence of a drake is perhaps that of
a well-trained dog mixed with a feral
wolf as any site of prey its instincts will
take hold and only a strong enough will could overpower it. It is to note
that not all Drakes have a breath weapon and is in fact quite rare and only
belonging to specific subspecies known as Guard Drakes.
Wyverns
Bipedal draconic creatures with two
wings as arms and a stinger tail. A
wyvern acts as lone hunters and rarely
goes into flocks of its own kin when they
are adults. Although extremely
animalistic in nature and intelligence,
they can be tamed and nurtured as they
are hatched, and this is one of the few
ways of taming them. A wyvern’s venom
is one of the deadliest natural found poisons so much so that other
wyverns do not like each other's positions, especially when ingested. When
on rare occasions wyverns fight they will intend to fling their venoms into
the other’s mouth which will immediately cause them to wretch and retreat
immediately.
4
Wyrms
Serpentine-like Dragons that
can have no limbs or wings.
Wyrms are most often found
in either deep seas, lakes,
rivers, or on land in jungles.
Wyrms are avid hunters and
seek out their prey with
extreme prejudice. A wyrm’s
venom is a paralytic agent and
is able to be applied by either bite or venomous spray. A few Wyrm
subspecies have elemental breath weapons but are more often than not
natural gases, fire, or acid breaths with no real means of the magic behind
them
Behir
Do not let their slimy and
multi-limbed appearance
fool you into thinking this
is just a monster. The Behir
is in fact a Dragon however
with years of tampering
from Storm Giants during
the Draconic Wars like that
of the Roc, making these
creatures were turned into bred Dragon hunters. Their multi limbs are
used to wrap around their prey and their charged lighting breaths spark
their slimy bodies to shock and char their victims. Like a jungle snake, their
elongated mouths are perfect to swallow near anything they cannot wrap
their bodies around. During the Draconic wars, many smaller variant
Behirs were sent into known dragon lairs to feast on unsuspecting
wyrmlings or undefended eggs.
5
Hydras
A multi-headed hydra is
something that is feared by
many veteran adventurers,
quite simply it means that
many have tried to kill it and
failed. Similar to Trolls, hydras
have an extremely fine
regenerative feature that over
their life will spread to their
whole body as they grow older.
A hydra will defend itself by
wrapping its body in its
elongated necks so that when
enough damage is done to one head it will rip it off and two more will take
its place. Hydras were a creation of Tiamat during the Draconic Wars to
overwhelm groups of smaller giants with just one hydra able to attack
multiple targets at once. There are many variants to hydras based on their
purpose during the war, one such variant was The Chromatic Hydra that
didn't have the normal regenerative property and could only regrow one
head instead of two. However, this hydra had five heads, each with the
designated color of each chromatic species of dragons. After the war, they
were all sent to Tiamat in her new banished home in the hells and were
mostly all eaten by her to regain her strength.
6
Greater Dragons
Gem Dragons
A collective species of Crystalline scaled
dragons that are self-centered and aloof.
The only thing they share with true
Dragons is their vainness. These dragons
are extremely proficient with magic.
Depending on their specific species they
can be more proficient in a specific form
of Magic and a specific breath weapon as
well. Their scales act as a natural magical
focus that amplifies their own natural
and learned magic. A Gem Dragon’s alignment tends to be neutral but can be aloof
with their primary behavior towards other individuals. For example, Emerald
Dragons are inquisitive and paranoid. With their paranoia, they make elaborate
lairs that can either be for their own protection or to trap would-be treasure
hunters and learn what they know from necromantic spells.
Lung Dragons
Serpentine-like dragons with two to four limbs or
fins placed around their bodies. These dragons
have antler-like horns and hair-like whiskers and
mane that regardless of environment float about
in a wisp-like manner. Lung dragons carry with
them many attributes including the control of
their home environment and the magic power of
flight and levitation. Lung Dragons are not always
born by natural means, on some rare occasions,
they are born similar to Nymphs and are born as
elemental spirits and act as river, mountain, or forest guardians. More often these
dragons are lawful entities and rarely are evil. These are the few draconic species
that do not carry hoards in the normal sense as their hoards are memories of not
only their own but their lands. However, those who do not have a spiritually tied
home are wanderers and polymorph as humans to wander the lands and collect
knowledge and memories they carry along the way.
7
True Dragons
Chromatics
Evil, vain and greedy. The epitome of
destruction and tyranny, these dragons
are the true spawn of The Matron of
Tyranny, Tiamat. There are two things
that all Chromatics follow; your horde
reflects your power and your power is
to be used to dominate and decimate
all lesser beings. Each of the chromatics
has its own quirks and specific mental
attitude that they carry with them.
Reds are tyrants, Blues are Slavers,
Blacks are sadists, whites are hunters and Greens are manipulators and spies.
Regardless of species they are all equally vain and are their biggest downfall.
However it is not unheard of when a Chromatic turns good or what would be
considered least “Less Evil”, their physical physiology changes, and their scales
turn to that of a metallic and will over time take on traits of that metallic species.
Metallic
Though vain they are not evil and greedy
but not cruel. A metallic is incarnate of
good. A metallic dragon does not truly
mean to see other species as lesser
beings. Apart from being a dragon of
near any kind is that they all see
themselves as more powerful than any
non-draconic being. It is truly a feat
that many metallics over time can see
past their power and recognize other beings as near equals. However, there can be
times where a lawful dragon like a Gold or Brass dragon takes their views on what
is just and force it upon the populace surrounding their territory. Metallics rarely
ever transition to chromatic scales but when they do with enough corruption they
turn into true tyrants and dictators all in the name of what they see as just and
law.

Mystic Dragons
Astral Dragons
Keepers of Dreams and Memories, Astral
dragons are natives to of course The Astral Sea.
These dragons are long Wyrm-like beings with
wings that fade into an ethereal wisp and
star-like patterns. It is not known how or when
these dragons appeared in the Astral but have
since kept their realm as their home and place of
their hoards. Astral Dragons have the natural
ability to plane shift and an odd ability to
change their relative shape. They do this so they
may keep their eggs from hatchlings to use as a place for their lair and hoard.
Astrals also have access to spatial magics to turn their eggs bigger on the inside
while keeping the relatively same size as the original egg on the outside. Astrals as
well are proficient psionic users and their breath weapons have been known to
make individuals in a comatose like straight temporarily.
Chaos Dragons
A primordial force of elemental chaos and
rage. Chaos Dragons are dragons that have
consumed so much of their primordial
heritage and magic that their physicality
changes to that of their true elemental
heritage or the magic they absorbed. All
Chaos Dragons are not born but are rather
created from draconic true bloods. A red
Dragon will become an elemental flame or
magma dragon while a White dragon will turn into frost or snow dragons. These
dragons, though powerful, are all but instinct and rage and have lost most if not
all of their original mental faculties before their evolution. However, there are
some, mainly those evolved from Metallics, that are the calmer side of the
elements. A Silver dragon could be that as a soft blanket of snow while a bronze
will turn to that of a calming thunderstorm of soft rain and dancing lightning.

Couatls
Divine angelic feathers wrap their wings and their
scales a sheen of a rainbow coloration. A Couatl is a
divine dragon and what some draconic followers of
Bahamut wish to become when their time on the
Material is over. Couatls were created and gifted to
the Prime Deities by Bahumt, The Platinum Dragon
when he gained full godhood. These gorgeous
dragons speak in truth and riddle as they are
primarily assigned by deities to be guardians of
vaults or treasures of the pantheon. What better
than a divine dragon to protect treasure? However
when a Couatls duty is either completed or failed
they do not have much to do while on the material.
Due to the Prime Deities closing the Divine realms from either side of the realms to
interfere with the other, Couatls are more or less trapped in the Prime Material.
These divine Dragons when they have no purpose will wander the lands in search
of some new divine purpose.
Kirins
Golden scales that shine as if a blazed with radiant
fire and claw-like hooves that light their steps across
the air never touching the ground. Kirins are
another divine gift from Bahamut to act as steeds
for many divine warriors similar to the uses of
unicorns. Kirins can vary in size mainly that of
either twice the size of a normal horse or the size of
an elephant. Many followers of Bahamut have at
times been temporarily gifted a kirin mount to aid in
battle or quests. Along with being loyal divine beasts,
they are also deep friends with Coautls as they were
both personally made by Bahamut and see each
other as brothers and sisters.
