For over 240 years Christys’ have been designing and hand crafting the finest hats -
inspired by great British fashion, culture, sports and of course, the weather. Creating
the new seasons collection is always an exciting prospect: Keeping true to the
Christys’ core customer whilst suggesting the new position in hats is a fine balance.
Which Classics are ripe for re-introduction and which are great just as they are? And
then of course developing completely new shapes and fabrications to encapsulate
and create contemporary trends.

For 2017 we are launching a new seasonal collection which features fresh and exciting
colours, trims and fabrications. Using Christys’ timeless shapes this selection of Fine
Fur Felts, Wool Felts and Caps are re-interpreted styles we feel are particularly
relevent for this season. These hats are for one season only so get them while they
are hot!

Having listened to our customers, we are excited
to introduce you to our all new Seasonal range. The
Bowie, Idris, Harrison, Radcliffe, Redmayne, Benedict
and Harry are our seasonal take on Christys’ classic
styles. With fresh trims, new colours and modern
detailing these hats are destined to be a hit with men
and women alike.
New and exclusive Fine Fur Felt colours for Autumn/
Winter 2017 are Putty, Racing Green and Nut which have
been lovingly shaped and trimmed with contemporary
dashes of colour by our master craftsman to create
a collection of new hat icons. Finished with the new
miniature garter logo pin, these hats are sure to cause
style ripples the world over.

Our handmade Fur Felts are soft, luxurious and retain
a great handle throughout their life. Available in the
classics; Black, Navy, Red Wine, Sable, Elm, Silver Grey,
Bessemer and Ink Blue, this season we have also added
rich seasonal colours of Nut, Putty and Racing Green.
At our factory in Oxfordshire we uniquely make our
hats as we have done for over 240 years - by hand
in the traditional way, crafting the brim and crown
separately. This means that alongside making all the
timeless classics, we can also create new and exciting
shapes in response to global trends, coupled with all
the quality you have come to expect from Christys’.
As we have been making beautiful hats in both fur and

WINTER CAPS AND HATS

Autumn and Winter are great seasons for hat wearers.
Our caps and hats are made from the finest Scottish
tweeds, British moleskin and wools. The tweeds
are selected in either a fine milled finish or a more
rustic country handle sourced in Hawick, the home
of Scottish tweed. For sport, for fashion, for country
pursuits or simply for protection from the weather,
we have a stunning range of fine caps and hats for all
occasions.
Our collection of trilbies and winter caps are
complemented with a selection of cold weather
essentials; Trappers in tweed and shearling, the
quintessentially British Sherlock Deerstalker style and
its single peak cousin - the Watson. And most recently
introduced we have our new Breton with its soft handle
which makes it perfect for a cold weather get away.
Also we have updated and improved our waxed cotton
Balmorals to give a lighter feel to this essential water
resistant cap. Practical style with Christys’ exceptional
quality of make and fabrication.

Even if its raining at our factory in Oxfordshire its
bound to be summer somewhere in the world and
what better than one of our Classic Panama hats to
protect your head with style. Whether it’s a Christmas
BBQ or a winter get away in the sun, nothing can beat
a handmade Christys’ Panama hat. In response to
demand we have added our Classic Panamas to our
Autumn/Winter range - finally summer is all year round!
From the classic bleached white for a garden party
through to the natural for cocktails by the sea, the
Panama hat is style personified. Each Panama may
start life on the coastal plains of Ecuador, but every
Christys’ Panama eventually epitomises great British
summer style. UNESCO added the art of hand weaving
the toquilla straw (panama) hat to the world’s Intangible
Cultural Heritage List and as Christys’ naturally
identifies with this unique craft we continue to make
the Ecuadorian Panama the backbone of our Classic
Panama collection, as we have done for over a century.
Our Superfine Grade 8 is the height of Panama quality
and now we have added our unique Christys’ leather
and garter band across the range. Not to be left out,
our iconic Classic Preset is also offered with this
emblem of heritage and quality which was established
in 1876 as one of the first ever global trade marks.
