• Check into our home away from home, settle
down and get ready to be familiar with the Barcelona Christmas
neighborhood Market
Fira de Santa Llucia
• The first place will be Casa Batllo which is
just around the corner. You will find an Cerveseria Catalana
image of the colorful and impressive Casa C. de Mallorca, 236
Batllo on every postcard sent from (Great Tapas)
Barcelona. Casa Batllo is one of three unusual
buildings along Passeig de Gracia, together
with Casa Amatller and Casa Lleo-Morera
which make up the “Block of Discord”. Casa
Batllo is inspired by some of the many
different elements found in nature, the
design is so complex that you can spend
hours and hours in front of Casa Batllo and
still spot new elements.

• If we still have energy, walk along the
beautiful streets of Barcelona to Fira de
Santa Llucia. We will find the oldest and one
of the most beloved Christmas markets in
Barcelona or even in Spain. The event is
dated back to 1786 !!!!

• We end the day at a local Tapas restaurant
near our house (if we still hungry coming
back from the market)

• Sleep tight and prepare yourself for a long
day tomorrow

• First, visit Gaudi’s best work and finest
masterpiece, Sagrada Familia. The Giant
Basilica has been under construction since
1882 and they’ve still got at least 4 or more
years to go before it will be finished. Gaudi
lived to see only one façade, the Nativity
Façade, the apse, crypt and one tower
complete. The church plans called for 18
towers and an area capable of
accommodating 13,000 worshipers

• Next stop will be the Park Guell, one of the
most impressive public parks in the world.
Gaudi planned and directed the construction
of the park from 1900 to 1914 for Eusebi
Guell for a residential park intended for sixty
single-family residences. The project,
however, was unsuccessful and the park
became city property in 1923. Though never
fully completed, it still remains one of
Gaudi’s most colorful and playful works

• Find a spot to have lunch at the Park Guell
• Take a bus back to Placa de Catalunya, the

very heart and commercial center of
Barcelona. This square was built in the 19th
century and is today the meeting point
between Barcelona's old town and the newer
neighborhood of Eixample. From here, we
can start our exploration of the city's most
popular street - Las Ramblas which lead off
Placa de Catalunya
• Although this street is a tourist magnet, but
we simply cannot miss Las Ramblas. Enjoy its

atmosphere just as it is, filled with street
artists, street markets, and art - but stick to
browsing only as it is hugely overpriced!!!
• Stop by La Boqueria, the most famous and
the biggest indoor market in Barcelona. Take
a photo at the entrance and then simply walk
around, browsing the range of fresh fruit and
vegetables, delicious smoothies, aromatic
herbs and more
• Located at the end of the famous Las
Ramblas, and just up from the harbor, the
"Mirador de Colon" is the perfect spot for a
panoramic view over Barcelona. Simply grab
a ticket and take the elevator up the 51
meters to the top of the Cristobal Columbus
statue - with few other tourists around, you
might even get the fantastic views all to
yourself
• End our day with a walk along its most well-
known beach. Simply sit on the sand for
some quiet time, or enjoy a drink at one of
the many well-designed beach bars
• Dinner, of course, at a beachfront restaurant,
Xiringuito Escriba, best place in Barcelona to

eat Paella

Day 3 Barcelona - Girona Massana Restaurant

Cathedral. Many of the filming sites here

almost like they do in the show

• Late afternoon, we will take the train back to
Barcelona to visit the unique FC Barcelona,

100,000. Barcelona FC is one of the best in
the world and their stadium has come to
stand for something important to football

chance to visit the FC Barcelona museum and

• And of course, we can’t miss The Alcazar. It is
a big stone fort and palace on the highest
point of Toledo. The palace was never lived
in by any king because before it was finished,

• We then walk to Catedral Primada Santa
Maria de Toledo or Cathedral of Toledo, the
2nd largest cathedral in Spain, after the one in
Seville. It is the 13th-century High Gothic
cathedral and was built on top of Morrish
mosque

• After lunch, we head back to Madrid for our
visit to the Royal Palace
• The Royal Palace or Palacio Real De Madrid is
the largest royal palace in Western Europe!!!

• Leaving the Royal Palace to Plaza de Oriente,
then walk north to Monasterio de la
Encarnacion, a church, monastery and
cloisters make up this architecturally
beautiful complex
• If we still have time, visit the Real Basilica de
San Francisco el Grande, a 1760 church with
exquisite Goya frescoes and other art work,
as well as the Arab Wall or Muralla Arabe,
then Madrid Cathedral or Catedral de la
Almudena, a Gothic-revival church with
statues of contemporary artists and stained
glass windows

best Tablao Flamenco Award” from Las
Minas International Festival (Spain’s most
pretigious flamenco festival) : Corral de la
