Reading Aloud 1

Read the following passage aloud clearly.

Willy has two pets, a cat and a dog. He named his cat Snowy
because of her soft, snow-white fur. His dog was named Spotty because
of the many black spots all over its white body.

“What am I going to do with the both of you?” Willy laughed
aloud one day as he was feeding them. Snowy hated cat food and Spotty
hated dog food. However, they both enjoyed eating each other’s food.

Willy felt it was so strange to be feeding a cat dogs’ food and a
dog, cats’ food.

One day, a thought came to Willy’s mind. He sat up suddenly
on the sofa and asked, “Mummy, what if Snowy starts barking and Spotty
starts meowing after eating each other’s food?”

“Well, then you will have two very unique pets!” Willy’s mother
laughed as she ruffled his hair.

Reading Aloud 2

Read the following passage aloud clearly.

Lily, John and their father were strolling along the beach. As
they were chatting, their father spotted a large stick on the sand and ran
towards it.

Lily and John were stunned by their father’s sudden action.

“Let’s play a game! I used to play this game with my friends
when I was a child all the time!” their father said excitedly.

Taking the large stick, he drew 9 squares and numbered them
one to nine. Then, he drew a large oval at the top of square numbered
nine. Next. he picked up three beach pebbles and handed one to each of
his children.

“This game is called hop-scotch,” he explained as he taught
them the rules of the game.

Lily and John had lots of fun that day trying to outdo each other.
Their father smiled as he watched them play his favourite childhood game.
