Mustering up all his courage, Tommy shouted, “Stop!” 15
Surprised, the man took a step back and glared at Tommy.

Gulping, Tommy then went up to him to explain why 20
everyone should play their part in keeping the beach clean. The man
was impressed by Tommy’s courage and actions. He praised Tommy
and decided to pitch in with the beach clean-up too. Tommy grinned
from ear to ear knowing that he had done the right thing.

By sunset, the beach looked great. The children had put
up signs that read, “Please throw all litter in the garbage cans. Let’s
