Is and Are

Do you know that words in a sentence have to agree with
one another? Now let’s see.

The crocodile is The crocodile are
Swimming. Swimming.

The subject and the verb must match.
If the subject is singular, the verb is singular.
If the subject is plural, the verb is plural.

The cow is eating grass. The cow are eating grass.
