Respect is the one thing that everybody should learn.
Respect is always about you and never me.
Try it and then you’ll see …
there’ll be more smiles all around and others will say,
“Hey! That’s the one! He made my day!
He’s always so courteous and nice.
For he’s so respectful in everything he does,
from listening attentively to being polite,
waiting for his turn to treating others in kind.”
We should all be respectful in everything that we do.
Acknowledge a friend – “Hello! How are you?”
Use kind words – “You look nice today.”
How do you feel, when someone looks into your
eyes when talking? Yes! You feel important.
That is respecting!
There are so many ways you can show respect.
Can you think of more?
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
How have you shown respect to others?
Discuss with your partner and fill in the blanks with
other examples.

Let us learn all about the starfish…
A starfish is a very different kind of animal!
It has the shape of a star, but it is not really
a fish. It is an "echinoderm."
An echinoderm is a kind of sea animal with
spiny skin. The spines on the skin of the
starfish look like little bumps.
Starfish can also be called sea stars. They can be found in every ocean
in the world. Starfish have "arms." Most have
five, but some have as many as twelve!
Their arms bend easily in all directions. Most star fish
can grow new arms if they are broken. Starfish cannot
swim. They crawl and climb. They move slowly on the sea floor. They
use hundreds of tiny tube-like feet to help them move through the
water.
Most starfish are less than 20 centimetres across, but a few types can
be as big as a small car! There are many kinds of starfish. Some
examples are the Goosefoot, Burrowing Starfish and Cushion Star.
They eat clams, oysters, snails and corals.
They have no brains and no blood in their bodies.
Exercise 3: Answer the following questions.
