Read the following passage of John’s new home and complete Exercise 4.

My family and I used to live in a very old hut in the forest. One day, a 5
fierce storm blew it down, making us homeless in an instant. We wandered in the
forest searching for a suitable place to build a new home. It was very tiring.

Just when we were about to give up, we chanced upon a small
cottage. Hoping that it was abandoned, we slowly pushed open the door.
Thankfully, there was no one inside. It looked very comfortable and cozy. A wide
spread of sumptuous food greeted us. We gobbled up the mouth-watering food
because we were famished.

After having our fill, we were exhausted and decided to take a short 10
nap. Before long, we were snoring away. We were awoken by the sound of the
door being flung open. Standing in front of us was a little girl. From her beautiful
golden locks, we guessed that she was none other than Goldilocks. She looked
furious and had every right to be. We had eaten up her food and had slept on her

bed.

Feeling ashamed, we apologized to her and related our sorry tale to 15

her. Upon hearing this, she forgave us and took us in. Now, we are all living happily

under one roof.

That’s the
story of our
new home.
