Workshops organised

NODE conducted workshops for students during the months of August and
September 2020. The first workshop gave the students an insight into the HTML
Box Model and explained the concept of Flexbox used for website development.
The second workshop mainly focused on the intricacies of CSS Grid Layout for
designing the layout of a webpage. Both the workshops were attended by over 20
participants.

Annual IT Event Alphanode
(Online)

The beautiful spectrum of life teaches us a lot once we become resilient and keep moving ahead,
overcoming the obstacles with optimism. Keeping this thought in mind, Delhi Public School,
Gurgaon organised its annual IT Fest ALPHANODE, which culminated with the announcement of
results, on 5th June 2020. The prevailing situation did not dampen the spirit of the students and
participants from over 20 schools as they participated with enthusiasm.
The Director Principal, Ms Aditi Misra, believes that in these unusual times, such competitions help
the students in interacting with their peers, albeit virtually. She believes that the students should
make the most of such events as they help in honing their skills along with learning new ones.
Both group and individual competitions were organized. It included a movie making competition, ‘In
Focus’. Web Designing, Motion Graphics and Digital Imaging were parameters of the event, ‘Create X’
which enabled the students to have a better understanding of various softwares. The event,
‘Geekathon’ assessed the participants’ aural skills and their knowledge of computers. Other events
included ‘M-Sway’, 'Synergy’, and 'What's on your mind’, all designed to explore the world of
computers whilst creating something new.
The overall winner and recipient of Letter of Honour was Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok. The
competition ended with the hope that the students would get to meet their competitors in person
next year and would learn something new as they compete.
