Event Guidelines

RULES AND GENERAL GUIDELINES

• A student can participate only in ONE of the given events.
• The dates of submission for all the entries and the email-ids along with the

name of teacher-in-charge have been mentioned in the guidelines of every
event.
• Only one Registration Form will be accepted from the participating school.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding for all the events.
• Details of the events are attached in Event Guidelines for CAPITALL 2022.
• The Link for Registration is given below:

• Last Date for registration - Tuesday, 12th July 2022.

• The Letter of Honour will be awarded to the school which participates in all
the events and secures the maximum points.

• E-Certificates for the winners will be mailed to the concerned schools on
their official school id.

STEAM QUIZ

Creativity is the secret sauce to science,
technology, engineering and math (STEM).
It is a STEM virtue. Add Art to it to make a

complete potpourri.

GUIDELINES

• Eligibility: IX-XII
• Maximum Number of teams per school: 02
• Number of participants per team: 02

• The quiz will be three tiered. The initial tier will be an elimination
round where each school will register two teams with 2 members
each. Both audio- video and written questions will be included.

• The second tier will be a semifinal round where 15 shortlisted
teams will participate.

• The finals will be a stage round consisting of 6 teams who qualify
from the semi-finals. It will have five rounds of quizzing.

• The event will take place on the day of the fest

GUIDELINES

• Eligibility: IX-XII
• Number of teams per school: 01
• Number of participants per team: 03
• Creative event will consist of two rounds of web development, digital imaging,

motion graphics and software development.

Preferred Software:
➢ Adobe Suite for Designs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Experience Designer, Premiere

Pro, After Effects)
➢ Blender/Maya for 3D Modelling
➢ Any text editor of your choice

• Prompt – Imagine it is the year 2150 and earth is running out of minerals like gold

,cobalt which are essential for electronic circuits. Design a new product/service which
would enable humanity to mine asteroids and come out of this crisis.
• Participants are required to come up with at least one of the following:
➢ a functional website
➢ an app mockup for their concept

• Participants must submit any 3 of the following:
➢ An advertisement/promotional video - duration of the video should be 30 seconds
- 1 minute.
➢ 2 or more posters
➢ 2 or more 3D Renders of your product/service
➢ 2 or more Alternate Logo Designs along with their usage

• Mention the school’s name, name of the participant and class along

with the entry.

• Entries must be submitted as a Google Drive Folder/GitHub repository
link containing the complete website /mockup and all other
deliverables.

• The original project files and the exported PNGs of the deliverables
need to be uploaded in the drive folder/GitHub repository.

• The advertisement/promotional video should be in mp4 format.

• There will be only one round in this event.

• The participants are required to create / Build a Sustainable Smart Tech City based on any of

the following topics :

➢ Affordable and Clean Energy

➢ Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

➢ Sustainable Cities and Communities

➢ Responsible Consumption and Production

• Usage of any Seeds/Mods will lead to direct disqualification.
• The whole build should be on Minecraft Education Edition only.

• No audio, commentary or editing required in the video it needs to be just the simple screen

recording.

Individual Onsite Event

GUIDELINES

• Eligibility: IX-XII
• Number of teams per school: 01
• Number of participants per team: 02
• School teams go through a screening test. Seven teams will be short

listed after the Screening test.

• The game is a simple race contest where a player’s progression up the

board is complicated by a number of ‘ladders’ and ‘snakes’, each
connecting two specific board squares.
➢Each team will have to attempt a question before rolling a dice. They

will be allowed to roll the dice only if they answer the question
correctly.

➢The objective of the game is to navigate one's game piece, according to
dice rolls, from the start (bottom square) to the finish (top square),
helped or hindered by ladders and snakes, respectively.

➢The team, which reaches the top square first, will win.
‘Stay positive and the ups will be more frequent than the downs.’

• Compose a rap song that explains any scientific principle/s.
• Use of Musical instruments and background music such as beatboxing is

allowed
• Duration: maximum 3 minutes
• The video can be recorded in school uniform or casuals.
• The video and audio quality should be clear.
• Mention of participant’s name/school name in the video or any inappropriate

content/move/gesture/costume will lead to disqualification.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

use an Indian folk-art form (Worli, Madhubani, Phad etc.) to convey a
biological concept that particularly interests them. They can use eco-
friendly materials of their choice to create a painting /sculpture/ model
onsite using any scale.

GUIDELINES

• Eligibility: IX-XII
• Number of teams per school: 01
• Number of participants per team: 03

• The students can choose any community problem of their choice and
develop innovative solutions. It could be an idea of products, services
or systems that would be considered magical today, but can be
commodities of future..

• In preparing a pitch, the team can prepare a presentation or video
(maximum 2 minutes) that should answer the following questions
based on the research and data:
➢What is the product or service?
➢What community problem does it address?
➢A prototype / application preview showcasing the working of the
product or service .
➢What can you say about the size and scope of that market?
➢What are the compelling attributes that differentiate your
product or service from others that address the same need?

• Ideas or concepts deemed by the panel of judges as offensive,
unethical or immoral may be disqualified .

• Marks will be deducted for exceeding the time limit .

along with the entry.
