A journey to the rural
areas of northern Kerala
with a novel venture- a
touring talkie named
‘Kottakavandi’.The motto
of ‘Kottakavandi’ was
`From cinema to people
and from people to
cinema’. And for this
reason Kottakavandi
traveled through the
rural areas of six northern
districts of Kerala –
Kasargod, Kannur,
Malappuram, Wayanad,
Palakkad and Kozhikode.

does not even exist in
these villages.

Unnikrishna Pakkanar, on
20 August 2015.
Unnikrishna Pakkanar
is a Bamboo Musician
and sculptor based in
Kuttanellor, a tiny hamlet
in central Kerala. He is
the founder of the band,
The Creator and is an avid
designer of percussion
instruments – he has
more than 60 bamboo
drums, flutes and Congos
to his credit. At the
inaugural function he
enthralled the audience
by performing on his
flute and involving the
students in the rendition
as well.

Actress Reshmi Sathish

folk numbers, ‘Paatum
Parunthakkettum’
and ‘Inivarunnoru
Thalamuraykku’ enlivened
the whole place. Her
vivacious songs set the
mood for the day. After
the inaugural function,
the students of SHSC
performed a folk fusion
and Vattapattu.

Playback Sequence were

Holographic event
Srinivas Laxman chief marketing manager of
Times of India distributed the certi cates to
the students.
Times of India and Cloud Qube
team together joined hands with
SHSC and took an initiative to
organize a program on hologram
presentation. Program was
conducted at Sacred Heart College
Thevara on 12th November at
melesius hall. The program was
about augment reality project
undertaken by Cloud Qube from
startup village. Students of SHSC
did an internship at Times of India
on Holographic presentation.
Typically, a hologram is a
photographic recording of a light
field, rather than of an image
formed by a lens, and it is used to
display a fully three-dimensional
image of the holographed
subject, which is seen without
the aid of special glasses or other
intermediate optics.
