Introduction
Over the past couple of years 39plus has been using the Service Management System
(SMS) program to capture data and report in order to comply with our Aged Care Stan-
dards.
During this time it has become apparent that the SMS program is difficult to navigate,
frustrating to log into, and is not very user friendly. This program also fails in fulfilling
our requirments for Mobile Workers (eg: In Home Respite Staff, & Medical Transport
Drivers).
After careful consideration, 39plus has decided on a ‘real’ cloud-based software program
called Metcare. It allows us to engage easily the the government, clients, support work-
ers and other relevant stakeholders, whilst minimising 39plus’ dependency on multiple
software applications.
I have created this document (Instruction Manual) to give you an overview of the pro-
gram, and hopefully help you start off with your journey in learning how to best use Met-
care.
From my experience so far, the program is easy on the eye, and very simple to nagivate.
I hope that all Staff will embrace this new program, and of course, provide any feedback
or concerns along the way.
Thank you
Sam
PS: The illustrations shown here are from using the destop version. I will create a sepa-
rate guide for mobile workers.
